He's getting disagrees for not posting anything the adds a drop of value to the conversation.

I think Maria was banned for posting specs and lists over and over, all these "<insert console here> day one" posts are far worse, utterly pointless. That's why people disagree and bubble them down.

On topic: at least people can now book time off work to spend with their new hardware at long last, it was getting pretty tight there.

I'm sure it'll be one of the first games to go from retail to IGC - still buying it day one though.

Damn, I missed Hohokum form the ps4 list - that's the one my son wants most!

There are now over 50 announced ps4 games the xbox one doesn't have vs 22 the xbox one has that the ps4 does not and we know Sony still have big stuff to reveal for the ps4's first year. Just putting some numbers out there.

They're probably just dotting the Is and crossing the Ts, making sure they can deliver 100% on what they promise, they don't need to be inviting another needless backlash if something doesn't go to plan.

Personally I think 11/27 is later than it will actually launch.

I see what you're saying but can't fully agree with it.

For me and many console gamers it's not a matter of taking what you want and that's the deal done, kthxbai... reason being it's not just like using a utility company that provides a generic faceless service for the mundane day-to-day stuff. To me it's somewhere closer to being a fan of a football team.

YNWA96 posted above you, he's a ms fan (I believe) and clearly a Liverpool ...

Doesn't matter that it's not new - it's gorgeous!

And the kids will tell you indies don't matter... pfft!

Sony is setting the agenda, they should be applauded for their pro-gamer policies, their genuine appreciation of what gaming is and what it means to people and also for allowing us all to become truly excited once again when it comes to console gaming. Oh wait, they already have been rewarded with unprecedented pre-order sales both here in the UK and worldwide.

Now some off-topic stuff:

@insomnium2 I see your comment was marked as "trolling". There ...

Oh I think they'll be doing all that and more - but not through third parties.

Spot on.

I prefer a platform holder who is responsible with my personal information and activity details - I don't want it sold off to the highest bidder or dropped in the lap of some random 3rd party I don't approve of.

4603d ago 4 agree0 disagreeView comment

I don't see it as criticism - it shouldn't be straight forward for a 3rd party to be able to have access to all your profile info.

The way things are heading something like raptr is going to be less and less relevant, platform holders will want you doing all your social business through their own or approved partners, if the services are good that's not a problem.

@ Bundi " not the same as financially backing indie game development"

The fundamental concepts behind Sony's whole pro-indie ethos are all about supporting and nurturing and removing barriers. Look at Shahid Ahmad - that man LIVES IT.

It's not all about money and that's not all that is important to an indie studio - there are actually some people in the games industry with integrity and a genuine desire to do things a bit differently you...

@showtimefolks "i believe MS would have done whatever they wanted with no consequences"

Imagine if they'd had a year head start this time around - how much of that backlash they faced would have been possible without Sony showing a different path?

4603d ago 3 agree0 disagreeView comment

Does MS even know their release date? (honest question)

You'd think if the date was fixed & they were confident we'd all have heard by now, just seems a little odd.
