It really is good, he got pwnd as he was spouting off about stuff he simply didn't understand. that's not what they pay him for, his job is to promote the One, not get lost in a sea of "on paper" numbers debates.
Nov. 15 needs to come!
It's the xbox superfans who needed to hold on for secret hardware, more memory and huge upclocks from the given specs, ps4 never needed such conspiracy theories as it was and still is the more powerful platform.
"PS2 gimped everyone, but you know what. It is still labeled as the greatest system ever. "
- much of that has to do with amazing exclusives, not multiplats. Nobody thinks ps2 was great because of it's versions of FIFA or whatever.
Your point holds some merit when you look at exclusives, but the matter of "gimping" (whether you see this as setting a low bar that's easy to reach or dropping features/fx from a superior version to mai...
Personally, as far as multiplats go, it's not going to be a matter of gimping a game that performs better on one platform, but just setting the bar realistically low to attain something like parity between formats. Gimping, to me, suggests removal of features/advantages in order to make something lesser than it was. That's not likely to happen, but the end result of aiming for "OK" instead of "really quite nice" is effectively the same.
As for the ...
The camera has a few issues, it likes to wander, is slow to react and can get stuck with your back to walls etc. It might be an improvement but it isn't perfect :)
Another fairly minor issue is the button setup, finding it hard to adapt, reminds me of playing Japanese imports years ago and cursing the select/fire cancel/jump etc. button setups.
Still a great game!
It's called Vita, has a Vita game slot, it lets you download Vita games from PSN... it's a Vita (and much more).
Enjoying playing through this right now. While it might be less cumbersome than before, it's not quite ps3-level slickness that we're used to, it's still a bit clunky in parts. Luckily the fun of the game itself makes up for it.
I've got a book I think you should read: States Of Denial by Prof. Stanley Cohen.
Don't worry, denial is perfectly normal and to be expected. It's the ability to search for and discover the truth that is rare and exceptional in people.
It's one of the reasons why there are so many conflicts in life, from meaningless console wars to organised atrocities.
...and it's that attitude that Microsoft thought they could exploit to the detriment of all gamers everywhere.
For shame.
@Bundi But the xbox one isn't competing with the 360, it's competing with the ps4, so that's irrelevant and clearly one of those kinds of "facts" that gets pulled out when meaningful numbers don't tell the story they wish to portray.
@JokesOnYou 10 years? No chance. If anything the next generation will be shorter than the last and Microsoft aren't going to want to drag on into the 2020s with hardware that already struggles to live with 2012 PC ha...
@voodoochildnyc You seem a little confused. On the one hand you say its market has already been cornered and on the other you seem to suggest it is little more than a ps4 accessory. There's nothing on the market like this currently and nothing that can rival the value for me.
It's a handy and relatively inexpensive device if you have a ps4 and could make use of the remote play to a 2nd TV in another part of the house - saves spending big on a second ps4 with only the ...
@decrypt "How can we know? PS4 isnt out yet."
Yeah, let's not take the word of those clueless devs who make games for both platforms, what do they know?
/s
@trywiazrdo Of course no dev is going to go on record and say that publicly, but Edge aren't in the habit of making this kind of stuff up just for the fun of it.
And when you look at what that actually equates to, the ps4 pushing almost half as many pixels again as xbox one and doing so at a higher frame rate... so effectively, in that example of unoptimised initial builds, the ps4 is out-performing the xbox one by something like 45-50% more pixels/second.
That's the inherent power of the ps4 at play and highlights how much extra work will be required on an xbox one build to get it to come close.
I liked the bit where she highlighted those "hand operating things", you know, for that machine that "not only reads your hand motions, but your facial expressions"... wtf?!
Fair play to Jack, he didn't even raise a smile, just did his thing.
@SynGamer It's 1080i maximum.

If you feel that strongly, maybe you should just learn Japanese? ;)
Well, apart from the guy directly above you that is... (us_army)
Just sayin.
