They gave it an 8 b/c they were highly biased against MGS games. Any one who plays MGS 4 (whether a fan or not) can agree that it is a masterpiece, if you can't see this you must be a novice gamer. (In movie terms it would be like saying Godftaher (MGS4/great movie) was just as good as Meet the Spartans (Avg game/crap movie), a great movie that should never be mentioned with Meet the Spartans in the same sentence).
Just like GTA 4 it's all the little things that make it standout ...
Sorry man I'm just Blu-ray certified by the Blu-ray disc association, plus I read Home Media magazine (a trade publication), can you show me your credentials...
I just graduated with a business degree to from an accredited business school (there are only ~133 colleges in the nation that are accredited). Don't tell me you know more about economics. My response is about this upcoming fall not now in the spring/early summer.
I have bought blu-ray's for $4 more than the dvd, thats not bad
still waiting patiently...
4.6 GB, Big Whoop Wanna Fight About It?
"By March 1997, Toshiba made the first DVD player available for consumers in America,"
Completely wrong, I had a dvd rom for my pc in Feb 97' and it was a second generation drive, the first ones came out in 96'.
Maybe they should consider the fact that the PS2 perpetuated DVD like the PS3 is doing for Blu-ray. Back in 2000 you could buy a DVD player for $300 or a PS2 for $300, which my self and countless others I have encountered bought it because it had a...
Typo,it would be an idiotic business move on EA's part. The game has hype but between gamers not the mass public. I personally would love to play a demo/beta in June
Ridiculous, why can't many developers make games 1080p native? Heck the PS3 and 360 have native 1080p games, plus both consoles have been out long enough to streamline development of native 1080p games.
Wow this is a person who would argue upscaled DVD's are superior to Blu-ray or HD-DVD.
I personally would prefer the native resolution, are there even any 360 games that are native 1080p, I know a few PS3 games are. I have a 360, and I would not argue in favor of 1080p upscaling by a long shot.
Oh by the way the PS3 can somehow upscale PS2 games to 1080p (using HDMI, and it can upscale to 1080i on component)explain how that one works.
No, the Les Paul controllers don't work with Rockband thats all
They had rockband available this morning for $99, as part of the Amazon gold box deals, that promotion ended a few hours ago
I updated it while you typed your comment, its all good now.
@Taker129
The Playstation Eye also has a few new "casual gaming" titles coming up this Fall 2008 too (most of the PS Eye titles are made by London Studios, the developers of Singstar and Buzz).
You forgot the lotion and tissue industries as well.
You obviously haven't been to a Fry's electronics store. They have Blu-ray movies on sale all the time (typically featured in their infamous Friday ads). The lowest price I paid for a Blu-ray movie was $10.99, they typically have a good selection (on average ~20 movies on sale) for $11.99 most of the time in the ads. I bought an HD-DVD from them back when the war was still going for $7.99, it was Clerks 2. I don't know how Fry's gets away with it but they undercut Best Buy, Circuit City, and ...
Can the 360 fanboys get it into their heads that Haze is not a PS3 exclusive game, it is a "timed exclusive". How do I know it's for sure a timed exclusive, the Haze demo when beaten gives info about the game and the release date, plus it says and I quote, "4 player co-op, a Playstation 3 exclusive". Why would Free Radical put that into an "exclusive" PS3 game, that clearly shows that it will be coming to other consoles and/or PC.
@Rocko
You are in the stone age my friend, still using Ethernet cables instead of wireless. You know the PSone/PS2 cables work fine with PS3 and that includes PS2 component cables (which are super cheap used at Gamestop), even the ultra rare officially licensed (by Sony) VGA cable works with the PS3 (it was only available in the official PS2 Linux kit). You should consider moving up to HDMI, you can upscale DVD's on the PS3 if you use HDMI. Games can upscale through component tho...
Why Microsoft still has a cap on live arcade games still is anyones guess. It's especially ridiculous when you can download demos off live that are over 1.5 GB. I understand it's to allow people with memory cards to download live arcade games, seriously buy a hard drive if you are downloading off of live instead of a memory card.
I saw these 6 months ago at a Mervyn's along with boxer shorts that had xbox 360 logos all over it, both were Microsoft officially licensed. They had guitar hero boxers too.
Fingers crossed for SOTN 2
