Seriously, its just FF13. Now if this was FF7 remake on both consoles then it would be a travesty. Not that many people play the FF series, mainly hardcore/RPG gamers, not "average" gamers. It affects people who read sites like these not some middle America console gamer who just plays Halo and CoD4. Sony did not create DVD up-scaling. and yes MS is known for copying companies, ever heard of Mac OS oh excuse me Windows.
I have the 360 VGA and HD-DVD on my 1080p Bravia 37xbr6 and it DOES NOT upscale DVD's to 1080i/p (HD-DVD's play at 1080p via VGA in analogue). HDCP is REQUIRED for DVD up-scaling, blame Microsoft they own that technology. Hence why you only see HDCP attached to HDMI cables.
Wow way behind on this one. Microsoft you own HDCP (required for HDMI up-scaling), so why did it take so damn long to do this. I thought the HDMI 360's (arcade, pro and elite) did this since HDMI was added to the 360. I luckily own a PS3 and the 360 HD-DVD, with all the up-scale hubbub that all the Pro HD-DVD guys used to push as a HD-DVD feature I'm surprised about the lack of an upscale. Hell the games have 1080p upscale, why not movies, blame HDCP being required for an HDMI up-scale.
I agree, I have The orange box on PC and it runs at 120fps on my Alienware, the 360 version (which I rented for kicks) only runs at 30fps, I'll stick to whats Valve is best at, PC not console games.
It's because Gabe Newell is a lazy fat POS. The PS3 is based on C++ programing language, whats so hard about that program language. Lets just use the same directx 9 programing language that was used back in HL2 in 04', oh wait thats what the 360 uses. You lazy bastard C++ is far from specialized.

Im interested in this but the big deal is that NF does not have streaming HD videos (they don't upscale either) which are big drawbacks to HDTV users.

Can you view on both the ps3 and psp when d/l from the Ps3's PS store or will it only activate on one system or the other? Can you set the PSP clock back to avoid the 24 hr rental period?

Playstation's press conference was more entertaining and better than the other shows since it was focused on hardcore gamers unlike MS and Nintendo who focused too heavily on the causal gamer (except Jack Trenton's minor mistakes on stage, he is nervous as hell). I personally found that Microsoft's was more shocking with Netflix and FF13 (not the Mii ripoffs, ask Morgan Webb about how much she hates that idea), but there really wasn't anything shown that we didn't know about which was disappo...

So would they cut the section where Otacon talks up Blu-ray, if the 360 got a Blu-ray drive that's the only way this would work. They would cut the MGS 1 flashback too b/c thats a PSone title.
Why would the Xbox 720 or the PS4 come out w/in 5 years from now anyway. We will see the next gen jump on PC before any console, I give you DOOM 3 and HL:2 on PC (the first next gen games), they came out years before the next gen consoles.
