I wouldn't say thats true, there have been extremely great games this generation. Gears series, Uncharted series, Skyrim, Demon & Dark Souls, and on and on...
There is a culmination of problems bringing the industry down. First the industry has become to blouted with to many games releasing every week on to many different platforms. It is at a point that it is unsustainable, because there is a debt crisis around the world, huge unemployment numbers with to many pe...
Also consider if you buy a used game and really like then buy some DLC for that game, that pretty much is profit for publishers nowadays.
The only ones complaining are greedy publishers who can't get enough money. It's not the developers, because they don't own their IP's anymore. The publishers are the problem.
because those that played Demon Souls knew it would be great. Also, I will try Dogma, however, it looks nothing like it has very little in common to Souls, so why the comparison in the first place. Oh I know, it was something to write about, because writers have exhausted everything to talk about.
Obviously content already made that could be in the game since its for the first seven weeks after launch. I will get the game, but I do not like the way items are being cut from games to be used as an artificial way to keep interest or combat used games.
Seriously the only ones hurt by used games sales is greed money hungery publishers like Activision and I question that they are even hurt at all because a gamer can get a game cheaper then buy DLC online that goes to publis...
McFarland's artistic style is far from generic. you know not what you speak of.
lollipop chainsaw looks so awesome just like Shadows of the Damned was. Juliet carries her boyfriends decapitated head on her belt for companionship. If that is not bada** I don't know what is.
you can barely see it but Leon slightly moves while aiming at 1:17 and 1:18 in the the trailer. Also looks to return to more traditionally survival horror atmosphere. I like what I see so far.
Preordered, just remember its a demo, not a final polished retail game (most polish comes during the final 30 day push on most games) I expect KOA to be great based on a small piece of game played in the demo and the talent involved.
If I was the publisher I wouldn't want to pay for the crap they made and called Bodycount either.
In MAss Effect 2 there was the Dragon Age and in Dantes Inferno there was the Dead Space tie-ins. Nice cross promotion and this is free from just playing the demos, which who wouldn't?
I would love for From Software to make a new Otogi game but they have a successful series going in Demon/Dark Souls so its forgivable.
if so how does it play? Does it play anything like Ninja Gaiden, God of War, and Devil May Cry games? I like that genre.
Torchlight and Crimson Alliance say hi. Diablo 3 will work just fine on console, it is not an RTS like Starcraft and those that say dumbed down, give me a break isometric games can only look so good. If it looks like Laura Croft and the Guardian of Light then it will be a handsome game.
that the most anticipated and hyped console exclusive next year will be Halo 4. Like it or not that is Fact.
You name I have it and have played then. All the God of War's, all the DMC's, Bayonetta, Heavenly Sword, all versions of the Ninja Gaiden games (including Black and the Sigma's). I was really down on this game but with with the platforming gameplay trailer before this and now this trailer, I am now onboard. It has promise and though the combat is at 30fps instead of 60 it seems steady even at this early stage. I would add a little more effects during combat but I am interested...
It's been 4 years since an episode and 7 years since a sequel. After that much time, I personally will be very very disappointed if its not HL3.
Excellent game. With the release of Dark Souls and Skyrim, I have started to change my thinking on buying games. I have decided going forward unless the game is going to give me alot of play time I am renting. I just can no longer shell out 60 bones for a 10 or 15 hour game. It will have to be an RPG, a game I want to play multiple times, or if its a shooter it will need alot of content like Gears 3.
The only games I am definitely getting next year is Witcher 2 (360), M...
so I have faith in PG when it comes to action games. Kojima is overseeing the project and I am sure has final say in everything and it worked out well for the recent Castlevania game.
For those of you poo pooing on this game should also consider that Kojima stated this game was rescued by PG, so there would be nothing to complain about other than cacellation, so we should be thanking PG for taking interest and saving this title.
Nothing here but odd looking animations of a crumbling city and platforming elements that feel out of place. Dante using an ethereal indiana jones style whip, is that all Ninja Theory could come up with, really? I am sorry but.....boring.
I really enjoyed Skyrim, but to give Skyrim GOTY then turn around 2 months later and say Amalur has generic quests is hypocritical imo.
Seems like Gamespot is off to a bad start in 2012 with its reviews because this review feels so "canned" almost robotic in natural as I read it. I would take Gamespots score and add +1. See what I did there?
