you posted the same comment on the article site. We get it, your a publisher and developer apologist. I am and for the consumer. No way in hell single-player content should be locked...period. Around 30-40% of gamers are not or chose not to hook up online whether its a money issue, geographical issue, or whatever.

Reality is that second hand markets in all walks of life have been around forever and will continue to and if a company choses to l...

This just reinforces the fact that making ingame single player unlocks is a bad idea. Those that don't have a code from a a used gane can't play around 10% of the game unless they fork over $10. Those that don't have internet access (which believe it or not is 30 - 40% of console owners) can't use their new code to access the content. Now when codes won't work rears it's ugly head for those with codes. This is just a stupid idea all around and indefensible, even th...

The price of games were artificially increased from $49.99 to 59.99 at the start of this generation. That extra $10 translates to an extra $10 to 50 million in sales when you have million to 5 million seller. That alone covers the costs of most games. So this whole used game arguement is crap. The publishers and developers are already making tons of cash if the game sells decent, plus they make more on DLC.

Why is the game secondary market a problem and not other produc...

from a technicial standpoint, I don't think deferred rendering that KZ2 & 3 uses is more advanced then other engines like ID Tech 5 or Frostbite 2.0 or even what UE3.whatever that Gears 3 is using.

I believe with the very best engines it really comes down to artists and the work they do with those engines.

So like I said, eye of the beholder.

DICE was hyping their new Frostbite 2.0 engine to bring next gen graphics to current gen consoles. It was a good selling point until the Beta and the huge gap between console and PC versions became evident. Now they are striking up the band that current consoles are tapped. It is just a lol moment.

if they are gimping the SOS already, why even have the weapon in the game? The point of the SOS in the first place was to give newcomers a fighting chance and to make gnashers users, like me think before we roll in. Gimping the SOS now makes no sense.

Also, gamers complaining about weapons is silly when they should be working on their skills instead. Reason is that every weapon is overpowered or unfair when you get killed by it, lol.

Very few will even care by then. Who will buy it and those that were to get it free as a preorder bonus will have moved on. I know I have. Good game, but once done there is no incentive to go back.

8-10 hours, really. Ninja Gaiden 2 came out summer 2008 and since then all Team Ninja has done is remaster NG2 into Sigma 2 and make a short Metroid game. So three and 1/2 years in and a 8-10 hour campaighn is whats on the table. Sorry thats Fail.

It will be nearly 4 years between sequels when NG3 launchs, meh, may rent instead of buy.

I understand just pointing out what I see and it disappoints me. This just did not seem a concern in BFBC2.

5282d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Doesn't matter, if your picking up more players and trying to convert the COD crowd over to BF all your getting is players doing what they do in COD and that is camp prone K/D boosting and thats what is going on.

5282d ago 2 agree2 disagreeView comment

I can already see all anyone is going to do is camp in prone for cheap kills, if Dice doesn't take prone out of the game. Why, because that is what I see going on in most games. No one seems to care about working as a team on objectives, they seem more concerned with K/D ratios. I am holding off on this game now.

I am to old school to accept the fact if I pay for something I don't get a physical copy that I feel is mine.

If next gen turns out as download only, I will stick with my 360 and PS3 until I run out of games to play, which will happen about the day I retire.

Oh Please! The survival mode concept has been around since asteroids and robotron. There was a revival of sorts with Horde Mode 3 years ago, making survival the new cool.

I have watched footage of the spec ops survival mode and feel confident in saying it does not resemble zombies structurally.

I think the person that wrote this article was brainstorming and needed something to write about.

"Once you decide to let someone else tell you if a game is good or not, rather than buy the game for yourself, you can't complain if their way of playing the game isn't to your standards. You have given them that power over your purchase, and have let others decide for you if a game is worth your time".

Excellent point and well communicated

I doubt completing the acts on Delta difficulty will be a walk in the park. But generally I agree with you. Nice achievements and a $20 price tag. This is what Capcom should have done for RE4, but nooooo they are so fn lazy.

By your logic I guess we won't see a review for Skyrim until early next year since the developers have come out and said there are hundreds of dungeons and 300 hours of gameplay.

Comparing an hour long music CD or a couple hour movie to a game that will take roughly 40 hours to finish doesn't make sense, sorry.

and never thought of corruption, maybe because I am a multiple platform owner and not a fanboy. It was nice to see the reviewers defense and based off the first game I do not question his score for the upcoming title.

I sense some major crow eating in a few days when the embargo lifts and this game gets huge review scores.

PC gamers are just sore that one of their exclusives has gone bye bye, but what they should be happy is that many more gamers are going to get to enjoy this game and Crytek will get to make a few more dollars to pay their employees and stay in business making games. Is that not the bottom line here.

I am anxious to see all the improvements made to the game. Supposedly it runs better using CryEngine 3 and they incorporated the much better control scheme from Crysis 2 for t...

Nice score congrats to From Software, unfortunately with so many games coming: Rage and Crysis next week, Batman, MW3, UC3, Skyrim, and Gears and Dues Ex recently. It will probably next year before I can sit down and devote the time it takes.
