Never got to play it as I had my PS4 preordered and awaiting launch, but I did enjoy Heavy Rain. So is Beyound 2 Souls good? I may get it on PS4 if it comes out.
Only three weeks and I will be enjoying the definitive version of arguably one of the greatest games ever created. Really looking forward to this.
I don't get how its out of hand? Only one has been released so far on PS4 and X1 and thats Tomb Raider. Then there are three up coming with TLOU, Metro Redux, and MAsterchief collection. I don't consider GTA 5 a remaster as it came out a month before the new consoles so its really just a delayed PS4,X1, and PC platform release. Nothing lasts forever including quakecon, people have been losing interest in this annual conference for years and now with no Carmack, I expect attendence to really start to drop.
This is true, they are not free games, we pay a subscription for them and have a right to complain when it sucks.
These aren't free games, this is a subscrition based service, and if someone is not happy with the games offered as of late, then they have every right to complain. They ain't whining about free games as some of you flamers on here are saying. They are paying an annual fee for those games. The last two or three months have been kinda lame for the PS4.
I just don't see it, sure CryEngine is nice and Crytek is tech proficient, but Sony has the ICE Team that handles all the advanced tech for first party games. The only Ip's Crytek owns is Crysis, Timesplitters, and Homefront. Ubisoft has rights to Far Cry and I believe MS has rights to Ryse. I don't think Sony needs Crytek. MS could use them though. Sony would be better with Capcom and their Ip's if we are talking takeover's.
Keep expectations low on this one. Id is a developer in decline and now that John Carmack is gone this small development group won't be together much longer. In fact I expect this to be Id propers last game. Bethesda purchased Id for their Ip's and game engines. With Carmack gone there will not be anymore game engine advancements coming from this developer, so that part of the business is going away. The Id that brought use great games does no longer exist, those developers have left over the years and with J. Carmacks departures the final shoe has dropped. They are nothing, a shell of what they were. Doom 4 already had to be scrapped and completely restarted once already. They are just trying to generate hype for a developer who has lost all its great key people and takes 5 years to make an average game (rage anyone?). John Carmack leaving was the nail in this small developers coffin imho. Don't expect Doom to be that great until Id is closed and the IP's given to a good developer.

With incredible people like Corrinne Yu, ND is loaded with programming talent. I am especially looking forward to what they do with Uncharted 4 a game built from the ground up specifically for PS4.
I remember how Jak 3 really pushed the PS2 visually, which ended up being the engine used for God of War. Then ND pushed the PS3 with TLOU. They have a history for cutting edge console visuals. Probably why the ICE team is housed in ND.
Many complain about remasters, but i think TLOU, Metro redux, and Halo collection will be fantastic games regardless.

Sales will pick up end of July when TLOU is released. Summer months or slow and game releases are dry, but August has Diablo 3, Metro redux, then Destiny comes out. Sales should be weaker until TLOU and the bundle comes out.
I was chuckling about all the reskinned BF4 comments and its true, this title is nothing more then a cash in on the PayDay series and legitimizing it with the Battlefield name. Problem is the Battlefield name isn't in the best of shapes right now and PayDay 2 is a better game. So, there you go.
Side note Visceral would have been better served to go back and make a true survival hooror game like Dead Space one thats their strength.
Since the electronic industry is pushing UHD 4k TV's I would agree that 1080p should be standard. The thing is is that MS and Sony wanted to make their consoles more affordable and decided on GPU's that would allow them that price point. Flip side is that although they are more powerful they just aren't powerful enough considering the increase in Textures, particle effects, AA, etc. etc. in games these days. So its a double edged sword.
I am looking forward to having all the MAster Chief games in one package with better resolution, effects, lighting, textures, etc. Although I enjoy my PS4 more, I have an X1 as well, and have a soft spot for Halo as it got me back into console gaming 13 years ago. So I hope everything is worked out and it looks good and performs well.
Hopefully Crytek can fix any financial problems and finish this game, it looked interesting at E3 and I would like to play it.
