No its a poor decision from Bungie. For a game that is so heavy involved with online and matching up with other gamers, not just friends, to have a mode with no matching is a poor decision. Justify it all you want its still a poor decision. Few gamers will have that many friends playing Destiny at any given time to do these end of game level 20 raids. It's a mode designed for the loyal fans of this game and should have match making.
A fantastic game that deserves gamers support. ND deserves the sales.
The non cross gen titles (PS4 and X1 only) have all been delayed accept for AC Unity. Witcher 3, Evolve, The Order, Batman all were looking strong usng power of new consoles and are delayed. So xmas is much less exciting this year, but good thing is February and MArch should be rocking. My guess is half those February titles will push to MArch just to not compete for sales.
PS4 is undertracked. In some investors report I read Sony was at 9 million and that was like about 5 weeks ago. I am guessing they are getting ready to announce the 10 million milestone soon.
Number 1 worst ending for me in recent memory was Rage. That was an awful ending. The game pretty much just stops and credits, it was almost like they didn't know how to end it or ran out of time to develope it.
Looking forward to this in two weeks.
Now this is how you remaster your games. New improved AI paths, all new textures, new game engine for Metro 2033, 1080p and 60 frames (doubles framerate and triples visuals from original game), new global illumation, all DLC included from both games(includes sp dlc and AI arena mode), three game modes in main games, all included in one package for $50 bucks. Take note developers this is how its done. Have mine preordered!
I think the Gears of War and Uncharted Trilogies deserve remasters. Also God of War 3 and I would like to see Puppeteer get a remaster and release on PS4 to get more fans it was such a great game that deserved better sales doubt it will ever happen though.
For my own personal pleasure I would love to see Darksiders 1 & 2 remade with new HD graphcs on PS4 and X1 I enjoyed those games, the exploration, puzzles, platforming, bosses, and story of the four horsemen.
I believe MS charges developers for patches on their platform (at least they did on 360 so since Blizzard didn't mention X1 I guess its still that way). I was planning on getting PS4 version anyways but good to hear this news.
You are probably right as I was just guessing, but I think some will be freed up in few years as this gen gets older and games get bigger. My guess was based off them probably freeing a half a gig at a time. Can't imagine 250meg would make all that big of a difference, so if its not at least .5 gig seems pointless.
By the end of this gen my guess is they will free up another 1 to 1.5 gigs off the OS so we might see 6 to 6.5 gig games but doubt it will be much higher.
When you have a huge seller like GTA 5 which is very rare with that many units and you have losses then management should immediately be fired, no discussion about what caused it or what can be done, no you are just fired.
I believe a remaster of 4 thru 6 in one package with all DLC for 40 or 50 bucks could sell well and help Capcoms financial troubles. But burn me fellas its just a thought.
As someone who enjoys me some one on one strategic Dark Souls like gameplay I am going to pick this one up. Hopefully they polish out the screen tear and bit of stuttering, I think they will. The game director comes from Witcher 2 team so yeah it should be good.
For a game that is touting co-op online persistent play, with a full multiplayer component, not having matchmaking in any feature of this game is fricken stupid.
Yeah me to, only four large areas to explore (one per planet), no matchmaking in raids, ingame co-op with friends is cumbersome, Loot system in beta seemed disappointing (borderlands loot drops seem so much better). I am wondering WTH Bungie has been doing for nearly 5 years. I enjoyed Bungies last game Reach but Destiny is feeling....messy.
It means the consoles were ready but the software wasn't.
If not its in the top 5 or top 3. I have been gaming for over 30 years and I can't remember another being as impactful story, character, and relationship wise. I think in a few years we will see more games follow TLOU model and realize other games are using it as inspiration.
If you are a younger gamer and not really into the story and characters well TLOU still has you covered...when you beat down a stalker or clicker with a brick in your hand it is still one of the ...
I think the $6.99 for 7 days is fair (dollar a day) but the rest are crazy money....$4.99 for 4 hours in some cases. Thats crazy to spend $5 to basicly try out a game and don't get me started on 90 day rentals, they are as expensive as buying and often times more expensive. Other than the 7 day model this structure sucks.
Also I find the game selection available to rent pretty meh, not one on there I am interested in.
Seems about right, often times CEO's lose touch with the worker bees. Also when problems start and it becomes public knowledge then the CEO acts all high and mighty or doesn't come clean it tends to look bad. Seems this is happening at Crytek as I type this.
