Although the guy from Ubisoft is wrong, anyone from EA should not be calling out anyone else, when all EA does lately is release broken a** games.
You are an amateur aren't ya? Voice acting is very important. I skipped the latest Splinter Cell because they ditched Michael Ironside. I would be upset if the voice of Master Chief changed after 15 years. Gamers grow up with game characters and the voices that make them. Many are mad about the Snake voice change and they have every right to be. So don't act like the voice acting doesn't friggin matter it matters alot.
I don't think Sunset Overdrive will be a killer app. Who here thought Ratchet and Clank was a killer app, I didn't, it was good franchise but not killer app. I consider killer apps games like Halo, Gears, Uncharted, TLOU, Metal Gear. Whereas games like, Infamous, Killzone, Crackdown, and even Titanfall are a step below those other top tiers and thus in my mind not killer app. Sunset Overdrive might be great, even excellent but kller app, doubtful very doubtful.
You didn't read the link in the article that goes to ubiblog. They have totally redone the sword combat. They said its harder and more tactical now. Take that for what it is.
They have added alot of new combat animation as well.
Your prays have been answered. During the E3 stage demo on gamespot the director discussed alot about all the extra animation they have added with movement he said it was something the franchise needed and promised it was very smooth now. I am also looking forward to the solve the murder missions and getting a next gen only powered game.
You confused me when you said that because Titanfall was "multiplatform title of sorts" it couldn't recieve the accolade of killer app?
Might I remind you that both Halo Combat Evolved and the first Gears received PC ports and thus are multiplatform, yet they are still considered killer apps by most gamers.
I think the real reason Titanfall is not the killer app everyone was hoping is that its fun but shallow. No single player to get invest...
I hardcore style sthealth game such as this benefits from a shorter game length. If the sthealth is repetitive this game is going to be a grind.
Shooters play better at 60 frames, thats all im going to say.
Not surprisig since alot of AC BF was on the sea, which included ship battles, shark and whale hunting, and sunken ship exploration with the diving bell. At the end of the day I doubt the world in Unity will be larger than Black Flag, just more landmass.
Looks like a nice polished game just like Bungie is known for. I also expect the PS4 version to either look better, perform better, be more polished, or a combination of those, because Activision and Sony have a partnership going and with such partnerships comes money.
I have not seen anyone make this observation, but I believe the main character is a woman, which I think could be very interesting.
My kind of game
Solid Snake I haven't played the last two COD games and I am not sure where you get the idea I am asking for shooting in this game. My only point is is that I don't think fans of this franchise are gonna to be on board with this hardcore sthealth. Good example, I was watching Giant Bombs uncover the coverage or something like that and Brad Shoemaker, someones opinion I respect talk about the game. He said you literally can't do anything around the alien. He said he was intrigu...
That is disappointing. So now the developer had to design the game so it could work on last gen consoles, that is the problem with cross gen, it limits the more advance hardwares developement.
This game isn't going to go over well with the critics or fans as a whole. Yes it is scary at first and thats great. The problem is they made this game a hardcore sthealth game you literally have few options for success. I think they have gone from a s*** shooter (Colonial marines) to now its a s*** sthealth game.
Don Mattrick really screwed the xbox fans over by approving a console with such deficiency that it cant handle basic 1080p resolution on the bulk of their self published titles. Ryse 900p, Titanfall 792p, DR3 720p?, now Sunset Overdrive 900p. The gpu gains and dx12 will be needed to offset the increase in demand from games as generation wears on. I am an X1 owner and this situation is disappointing. This generation needs to be over in 4 or 5 years.
I expect Quakecon to dieoff now. Id is a shell of the developer they used to be and now that Carmack is gone fewer and fewer wlll attend. Many would go just to hear Carmacks 2 to 3 hour address on the state of gaming tech. End of an era indeed.
I skipped it on 360 and PS3 holding out hope for a X1 and PS4 version. I can't wait to finally play this game.
Yeah because a game that doesn't live up graphically is so much worse than the broken games that EA releases.
