I agree, Heavy Rain's lady just irks me with how hard they try to make her realistic. And I got the same feeling when looking at Milo, though thankfully Milo isn't going to be real.

Unfortunately that means we'll still be meeting that chick for some much needed next gen bathroom pampering come next year :(

This isn't me bashing a console, this is me hoping that this niche genre gets met with hostile opposition. I just can't bare the idea of a human/life simulation ga...

Where are these "glitches" that you speak of?

Windows Vista has been so wrongly bashed for no good reason. And it's cheaper than holding out for Windows 7. Vista ships with every PC that rolls out today. Its support for software and hardware has grown. Its stability has been rock solid, even though people have had issues with their own specific configurations. It's also very modern and visually striking for an OS.

I've already preordered my Windows 7 Home t...

I was in 6th grade when in 1997 I did a current events article in my Social Studies class and chose to do it on that very famous case back then.

I also had a huge crush on my then 26 year old smoking hot teacher. :D She used to smile when our eyes met, so dreams CAN happen!

You can get the Windows 7 Professional upgrade for $99 (for a limited time) if you NEED xp virtualization builtin

Or you can just download virtualization software (like Microsoft Virtual PC, for free) and install it on Windows 7 Home or existing Windows Vista Home Premium install :)

I forgot the artist/company there, Saigado I think.

Check out his work...if you're interested anyway :)

edit: actually, be careful googling that :P

Conviction is a CONFIRMED Xbox 360 exclusive. Those who have Xbox 360, go to the marketplace and download the E3 gameplay trailer, the creative director says it himself.

Clintos, you actually haven't stated ANY facts :\

Everything you've told me or anyone else about Uncharted or KillZone2 is your O P I N I O N. Your bi-assed opinion.

To YOU PS3 games look better because you're ignoring the facts.

Gears of War 2

Xbox 360's GPU (Xenos) was built around a much newer and more efficient architecture than PS3's GPU (RSX). The nVidia 7 series GeForce's were all standard shader array GPUs, meaning they had shader pipelines dedicated for pixel and vertex shaders...

You mean hype? Yeah, Killzone 2 didn't go through none of that with PS3 owners.

If you look deep enough, you'll find some interesting things about Halo 3 that really made it shine. Even if it didn't look as good as Gears of War there's still a lot that I personally found amazing.

It wasn't halfassed or re-done to me, and the jungle landscape was pretty sweet at the beginning!

Still, I guess the texture work and actual models for humans could definitely use a facelift. But you guys gotta remember that a game can't just survive on graphics, and Ha...

it's an r600/700 series chip. r500 was the x1xxx series, which were still standard dedicated shader array GPUs. ps3's RSX is also a standard dedicated shader array GPU, equivalent to a 7 series GeForce. Xenos's actual direct nVidia counterpart would be the 8 series GeForce, since it's the first nVidia chip to finally adopt unified shaders.

Panda, they're not adding tech to the Xenos. It's already builtin. They're talking about the SOFTWARE, the dev kits. The API.

Xenos was built off of ATI's plans for its future Direct X 10.1 GPU's, the R600/700. When Xenos was first being talked about people used to call it R500, which was incorrect.

Xenos has features that put it above Direct X 10, it's just that the API in use by Xbox 360 dev kits only exposes mostly Direct X 9.0c features, and a few more more to form Direct X Xbox. By upgrading the API and dev kits they can eventually fully utilize Xenos's power.

Um, Xbox 360 lets you keep your saves too. Hell, if all you need storage for is game saves you could get by with a 512MB Memory Unit.

I do both, I keep all of my profile and save data on the MU and then all the game data and maps and DLC on the HDD. That way I can take my profile with me when I got friends waiting to beat the sh*t outta me in SC4 with their custom characters :)

It's my story too, only thing is that my laptop's still running. But I've been terrified ever since I started reading more about the issue with that series of nVidia GPUs. And the sad part is that they've moved on: new year, new GPU. For the people like you and me who spent a lot on our machines when we bought them brand new (mine was $1500 with taxes) the last thing we want to do is buy another new laptop.

My advice to you would be ebay, just go online and find a seller who's se...

Gaming laptops are just pointless. First of all, there's the fact that they're built pretty much on the edge of technology. And that's not cheap, dual core Meroms and Penryns are usually twice the price of an equivalent speed desktop cpu.

Second, even though manufacturers came up with MXM they didn't make it cheap. So most laptops WILL come with mini pci-e slots where you'd usually find your wi-fi card, but mxm just isn't as standardized.

And lastly, you sacrifice a ...

Because they're taking a hard line against piracy. And so would anyone else, having the disc is proof that you purchased the game. Now that DLC and games on demand is taking off things are going to get better, since it's all closely tied to your XBL account. Yeah, try to screw over the games on demand service and you'll most likely get fined, since you'll be identifiable.

Traveler, you can always just buy the Arcade console and find an old 20GB on ebay. Or find someone who's planning on upgrading to the 120 and buy their old 20GB or 60GB.

For me, I personally don't need 500GB on my console. I have a home network, a laptop, a desktop, external hard drives, and USB memory sticks and SD cards. Plenty of storage in my house :)

Not too mention the vast archives of CD and DVD stacks in the garage.

I've always considered Metal Gear Solid an rpg as well, even though it's Mass Effect that's listed under that genre. In truth, they're BOTH third person shooters with an excellent story. But Mass Effect is more involving. Sure, that could possibly be because it's an rpg. But aren't you "playing" the "role" of Solid Snake in MGS as well?

What defines "rpg"? Is it leveling up and experience? In MGS Snake's life gauge would extend after each successful ...

I go with the "logical" approach: you can only actually PLAY one game at time, hence you only need to INSTALL one game at a time. And even multidisc games can be played that way as well on a 20GB HDD, just install the disc you need.

There's nothing special about it, they just have a special lock to prevent drives that aren't authorized by Microsoft.

Yeah, silly I know :\ Jeez, if Dell, HP, Gateway, IBM, Alienware, and Toshiba don't mind letting you upgrade you HDD I don't see why Microsoft should. But then again consoles have generally been closed architecture machines.

edit:

I'm all for HUGE reform over at Microsoft. For instance, have you guys checked out the "Xbox Live Terms...
