It's completely new tech and well priced for the tech inside. Go back to your last gen consoles.
I have a deluxe bundle preordered as well as a copy of ZombiU. I would've got the ZombiU bundle but I don't have much need for the pro controller and I want Nintendoland. I'm only paying an extra tenner for the option I'm taking for two games instead of one game and a controller. Only 17 days to go!
Oh hey, let's jump on the Nintendo hating bandwagon.
You mean it's early to the party, it's the first and only 8th gen console for one or two years.
Abzdine is right. Yes the base story is the same, princess gets stolen by bad guy, boy in green tunic/Italian plumber has to rescue her but the main story, why she's been taken, how you rescue her, the people you meet along the way is always different. More so than any other game.
It's something they could easily add later down the line.
@Akuma, You say PS3 is better than the Wii U yet earlier in your comment you state Nintendo are working to utilise 1600mbs of ram for games which is over three times as much as PS3. Your contradiction stops me from being able to take you seriously.
.
The Wii U needs praising, it's awesome.
@MikeMyers, disc based gaming only exists because of Nintendo. They got Sony to help them work on an extension for the N64, Sony tried to trick them into signing over all money made by the extension, Nintendo then refused to work on it and thus the Playstation was born.
You obviously missed the point in my post. I meant Things set in America* always put British people as bad guys, failing that they cast a British guy to play a bad guy.
Why are people surprised that console sales have declined so much over the past few years? They've been around 6/7 years. Anyone who wants a Wii/PS3/360 has one already. Bring something new to the table and people will buy it.
It was pretty much obvious Haytham was going to be a bad guy. He's British. It's almost impossible for something set in American to have British people that aren't bad guys.
Anyone that still has any doubts about the Wii U needs to take a look at this list.
3-5 hours is not terrible. It doesn't anymore than that because once the light starts blinking you can just plug it in and keep playing as you can't use it out of the house whereas tablets can be taken out with you so they might need to last longer. It's the same battery life as the 3DS and Vita are not many people say they're that bad. As it is wireless you can move closer to a plug socket if you're not always close to one.
"3-5 hours of gameplay time with a recharge length of 2.5 hours. With most wireless gaming controllers on the market today accomplishing at least double this time." - Most wireless gaming controllers on the marker today don't have a touchscreen...
Nintendo announced it has an accomplishment system but developers have to choose whether to use it or not rather than it being a forced thing, it can only be a good thing as it means only developers that want the extra work will do it so we won't get stupid things like "Jumped 5 times".
Well consoles get better over time as developers get to grips with them and by the time the new Sony and MS consoles arrive on the scene Wii U will probably be almost 2 years old. By that time the Wii U will probably be on par with PS4/Nextbox when they're first released and for at least a year after. Obviously after that it'll start to show it's age but even then it won't be as big a difference as with the 7th gen consoles. It's hard to believe in the next few weeks 7th g...
Let's not forget that the multiplatform games on Wii U ported from last gen consoles are different to 360/PS3 launch games ported from 6th gen consoles. With the touchscreen no matter what developers do with it it's still a different experience to their counterparts whereas the ports to 360/PS3 were pretty much the same as their counterparts. Take for example Ninja Gaiden 3, from what I've seen with the amount of changes to the game it could almost be classed as an exclusive in it...
It's an excellent price for what you're getting. They're making a loss on each unit so actually it's worth more than we're paying.
