It's a brand new console with brand new tech of course the price is worth it. Just checked on US Amazon as I'm guessing most people on here are from the US. Compared with the 7 year old 360 and 6 year old PS3 you're only paying between $50 - $100 more for the Wii U. Is it not worth an extra $100 for a brand new console?
Actually it started as No Shave November before it was anything to do with cancer. People just did it for fun and grew moustache and beard. Whoever decided to make it about cancer used the 'Movember' pun, since most people hadn't heard about it before it became known as 'Movember' that name became more prevalent for the event. The more you know.
The Wii U gamepad does have a sensor bar, that's what the black thing is with the camera in the middle :)
Well Virtual Console games will eventually be compatable with the gamepad so I don't think it'll be long until we see Wii games on there.

I don't even think there's anything wrong with ripping off Smash Bro's, it's a great game series. I just wish they'd stop trying to deny it.
They bring up some good points but console generations are based on when they come out not how powerful they are. I like that they bring up a point I've always liked about Nintendo, they do their own thing, they don't care what other companies are doing with their systems. Microsoft and Sony always keep track of each other, do similar things, try to have the most powerful console. Nintendo are just like 'you do that we're just gonna go ahead and do something else'.
@shutUpAndTakeMyMoney, I think you should go look at launch games for current gen consoles and compare them to the last games to come out for 6th gen consoles. You won't notice much of a difference besides the HD. It takes a couple of years for consoles to have games that look as pretty as they're able to.
Wipeout has nothing on F-Zero.
Wii U gamers will be paying $60 for the definitive version of the game though.

It's a great price for what you're getting. As with everything I'd love to be able to pay next to nothing for it but I accept that it's worth what I'm paying for it and in two weeks time there will be one in my house.
Why does no HDD or blu-ray playback mean it's 2005 tech? The oldest tech in the system is from 2011.
No one is saying they know more. He knows a cheaper price would mean more people buying it which most likely means people buying games that his company makes which means more money for his company even though it means Nintendo losing more money. It's not about his 'expert' opinion it's about him getting more money.

One of them came up with an excellent idea for Mario Kart on the Wii U. The gamepad player being able to change parts of the tracks whilst in the middle of a race. It'd be a great way of spicing up the game's formula, experienced players wouldn't have the advantage of knowing the tracks like the back of their hands and it'd be an experience that no game has ever given to players before.
