Aww, I felt so sorry for the one that fell over at the end and almost got left behind, I'm glad he got a happy ending. I can't imagine anyone but Nintendo could create such an emotional transfer.

I don't see any reason whatsoever not to get the console. It looks amazing, it's more powerful than anything available and will be for the next one or two years. It has a brand new way of playing games that you can't experience anywhere else. Not to mention it's a fact that Nintendo have the best exclusives.

But if you get it at midnight why not just set it up and leave it to download while you sleep for the night then get up in the morning and play it.

Assassin's Creed III Wii U version. Also known as Assassin's Creed III Optimum version.
The Wiimote was said to be a game changer, a LOT of people were skeptical about that and it turned out those doubters were wrong. Nintendo ruled this gen because of their new way of playing, Microsoft and Sony pandered to the casual market with Kinect and Move of which earned the companies a lot of money both of which wouldn't have been made without the Wiimote. I have no doubt that if the Wii U does well Microsoft and Sony will bring out something similar to the gamepad.
I'd rather be an early adopter of the 3DS. I ended up getting 20 free games from the eShop to make up for the extra cash I paid getting it before the price cut and now nearly two years later it has a better library than the Vita.
The Wii U already has a healthy library of games no matter what type of gamer you are.
Because Pachter is an idiot. Nearly everything he says has no evidence to back it up and ends up being wrong. He's a joke.

So many great games there that sadly a lot of people will never play. The fact that the Wii has so many unsung gems is one of the reasons it's the best console of this generation unfortunately most people don't see it.
It's 3am on the 18th in the UK right now. That means in a few hours the Wii U officially goes on release in America. After that whenever anyone says 'this gen' they will be referring to the 8th gen making the Wii, Xbox 360 & Playstation 3 last gen consoles.
Before Kinect and Move the PS3 and 360 had almost half the sales they have now. They tried to follow Nintendo's footprints in appealing to the casual audience and they made a lot more money. The top selling game on 360 is Kinect Adventures. They owe a lot of success this gen to Nintendo taking the risk they did with the Wii.
My Wii isn't gathering dust.
