Maybe it's just me - or Maybe I just need to see the game in action. I can't really take screenshots and translate them into how the game looks during gameplay.

Naa - they'll still make games the same size - it just means they have more room to lock DLC on the disc.
@ Kleptic - I don't want to argue, but of those games, I only had ODST, ME2 and Forza 3.
ODST the game itself was all on one disc, with the other disc being pretty much Halo 3 multiplayer with every map pack.
Forza 3 included the second disc so you could install some tracks if you wanted - but it wouldn't keep you from playing the main game.
In both cases, you could play through the entire "story" without swapping discs like...
The font in your picture isn't from software used to rip 360 games - it's clearly a Sony font - the same you see when you're either updating a game, or performing the mandatory install - look it up.
That's why it's larger than the 8.5 on a normal DVD9 - idiots decided that it would be fun to start speculation regarding a new DISC format rather than the information on the disc in a new format (less bogged down security encryption) to free up more space.
