They are all testosterone driven action games with no use for cognitive thinking. I think japanese games have more variety, American games are just over-saturated w/ too many similar titles.

I will take back some of the things I said, but still, I am amazed at how quick Americans are to jump to conclusions, we act like the rest of the world acts excactly like us. That has a lot to do w/ the eletist nature that has been ingrained in us by bad politics that uses flag waving as an excuse for true leadership.
And like a fine wine, it gets better w/ age. I just can't help but think how much better the story to MGS4 would have been if I was on their team of writers.
Snake has been living a dream life this whole time. In MGS4 Snake awakens from a coma to realize he is in fact a female trucker named Bertha, who after recieving the news that her life partner, a pole dancer named Starla, was running away to be w/ a bible salesman, proceeded to drive her rig of the nearest cliff, hence rendering herself in a comatose like state which she emerges from at the climax of this game.
For everything this game is trying to accomplish, it would be a shame for it to be ruined by all the early reviews and spoilers. It would be the equivelant of those movie trailers that show you way too much of a movie so that you lose interest.
Konami has no reason to be afraid of negative reviews, so far this game is the best reviewed game of the year aside from the juggernaut that is GTA4.
Is anybody even going to give a damn about this game when the DLC finally hits? A lot of people got tired of this game b4 it was even out for a month. I know that I never could get through a GTA w/o getting bored and moving on to the next game. Part one was good, the rest were disappointments. I think that Bungie was afraid if they changed the series too much it would piss off the fans. They used the whole, 'if it aint broke, don't fix it' mentality. They knew the game would sell w/o actual innovation, so why go to the trouble? Trophies, Achievements, whatever you want to call them - its all pointless. Anything that dictates how you should play a game is bad imo. Games should give you multiple ways to achieve your goals - it shouldnt' be about killing x amount of bad guys in x amount of time. This just limits possibilities. Now that PS3 games are adopting YouTube funcionality, they don't need trophies for bragging rights.
PC's are pretty affordable. They have 400$ pcs that run crysis! I'm not saying you have to go buy a brand new rig, just upgrade your existing pc (considering you already have a decent one - I would imagine most hardcore gamers actually do).

The gameplay is really slow, but its sooo awesome on a big screen. But really, a single mission can take almost an hour. You have two fatty joysticks - one controls your mechs view and the other where your guns are pointed. It has buttons for everything, even windsheild wipers! I also liked how there were 3 pedals - gas, brake, and boost.
It's sick how kids like this are taken advantage of all in the name of fighting a war for a cause that has yet to be determined. I graduated hs the year before the war broke out, its wierd and wrong to see some kid younger than me die in a war that when it started he was a boy in school.
