Investing in your own infrastructure - securing in house devs and not just their software titles. You really think MS is doing this with the measley 4-5 in house devs it owns currently?
If they want to compete w/ the heavywieghts they're going to have to step their game up a little.

The missions are a chore, they aren't very creative and there's not much variety. When you beat the missions you get money and it unlocks stuff in the game, however money is pointless and the unlockable stuff just complements the game, it doesn't really change anything. This leaves me w/ an empty feeling.
This game feels so similar to all the other GTA's that once you start playing it for awhile it loses that cutting edge feeling. I'll admit that the online modes are pretty dam...
But the same version of Tekken 5 is available for download on PSN. And the next tekken will be ps3 exclusive.
This doesn't change the fact that MS needs to invest more in its own infrastructure and get some more in house devs. Until they do this they will just be playing second fiddle to PS3.
They have 20+ in house devs vs. MS's 5. Sony has over double the exclusives in dev. right now then MS. I always thought that MS was stupid for trying to pay off devs to secure exclusives when they should be starting their own dev. studios and putting that cash to use making their own ip's.
Sony has Ratchet and Clank, God of War, Killzone, Motorstorm, Jack and Daxter, Tekken, Resistance, Little Big Planet, Siren, Warhawk, - the list goes on.

From what I hear a lot of the people who participated in the 360 beta a few months ago thought this game was terrible, I'll just wait for the demo to come out in a few weeks.
Gears puts Halo to shame, I would happily welcome that on PS3, just like XBOX1 welcomed a plethera of PS2 titles - everything from GTA to DMC and more. That's why I think its funny when you hear people try and say PS3 shouldn't get 360 titles - PS paved the way for XBOX!
On a sidenote don't you think its funny that Gears of War sounds like a mash up of Metal GEAR solid + god OF WAR?
That is my conspiracy theory for the day.
Because from what everyone who has played the beta has said, the game was awful. I never was a big fan of this series to begin, but this game looked to make me a believer. After hearing what everyone said about the beta my anticipation for this game all but disappeared. I think it goes to show the games sucks because after the beta there was no more hype for it.
Ubisoft is going to have to do something it has never done b4 w/ Splinter Cell - take their time to develop it!

Because it failed to innovate the gameplay. It's roughly the same experience as Halo 2. Not to mention the graphics were underwhelming for a next-gen title(compared to the first trailer), the story mode was one of the weakest of the series, and the fact that a lot of the stuff in Halo3 was just stuff they promised in Halo 2 but hit the cutting room floor.
Really though, Halo committed the sin that a lot of next gen games commit - they use the next-gen hardware to take a last-ge...

Why should I spend 300$ on a console when I can use that money to upgrade my PC and still play its best exclusives(Mass Effect, Bioshock, Gears, Fable, Halo)?
Why should I pay for an online service that uses P2P networking instead of Dedicated servers which creates host advantage and keeps your connection speed at the mercy of the host?

Really though, XBL is ridiculous sometimes. That's why I prefer PSN, because not a lot of ppl have a mic yet, but I'm sure that will change.
A lot of times though kids aren't even old enough to be playing some games (Gears). I blame the parents. But what they should do is just have 2 XBL's, one for adults and one for children. I get sick of playing w/ little brats.
The only thing I'm worried about is their going to rehash a bunch of the old multiplayer maps like TF2 or Halo. I've already seen screenshots of a few mp maps that were in Gears1 that are going to be in Gears2.
I'm a long time Team Fortress fan and when I got the new version I was so underwhelmed - half of the levels in that game are spot on recreations of older ones. Not to mention the lack of weapons for each class
