W/ a measley 4 in house devs they wont be able to compete w/ the onslaught of titles coming from Sony's 20 in house devs. Many would agree Sony has '08 wrapped up as far as titles go. Look at '09, w/ Killzone 2, FF13, and God of War 3. The only thing MS has announced so far that could possible stand up to this is Halo 4, if that does in fact come out.

Only a fanboy would believe DVDs are superior to Blu Ray. The xbox360 drive reads dvds at a variable speed - anywhere from 12 to 5 mbps, the further from the center of the disc the slower.
Blu Ray reads at a constant speed of 8mbps, which is sufficient enough.

Don't get me wrong, Gears is the best game on 360, its just not as innovative as Re2. Re2 has a revised multiplayer that features squad based play(never been done before), an XP system that registers with every hit, 60 player multi-player, 8 player Co-op, 2 story modes, more weapons and better graphics.

People praise that game but I thought it was an RPG w/ training wheels. Sure, it was one of the best RPG's on XBOX1, but that's not saying much.
The game had a lot of potential but it just fell short w/ only 10hrs worth of gameplay. If Fable 2 can just deliver where its predecessor fell short it would be an awesome game.
How many devs that worked on KI are actually still w/ rare? Ever since their team split and 1/2 of them went on to become Silicon Knights Rare titles have been seriously lacking. Its too bad Silicon and Rare don't join forces, w/ their mediocre powers combined they might be able to make a decent game.
Sony could always afford exclusives, they just didn't rely on them as much as MS. Sony has some 20+ in house devs - MS only has 4-5.
Personally I'm glad to see Sony paying for exclusivity, at least they know their games won't be hindered by the limitations of the 360. They'll have more objects on screen and 50gb of blu ray + a HDD.

The XBOX is made out of spare PC parts that were outdated before it hit the market. Its got nothing on a PS3.

I really don't think it will be Halo Wars - they obviously delayed that game so it wouldn't have to compete w/ End War and Command and Conquer.
Killer instinct isn't likely either, it will have to compete w/ Tekken6, MK vs. DC, and Soul Calibur. Not to mention when asked about it Rare flat out denied this game was in dev, they didn't beat around the bush like devs usually do when they're working on something they aren't ready to announce.

This is coming from a site that gave Halo 3 a 10 but GeoW a 9. They obviously aren't hardcore gamers. Maybe they've been in the industry too long and forget what makes a game fun.
They complain that MGS4 is just a polished last-gen game but how is Halo 3 any different!?
It's kind of a cop out calling every game repetitive. Of course every game will get that way, but it should never happen the first time you play through it. That all goes into how the game is designed.
The NG series has just been done to death. NG1, NGBLACK, NGSIGMA, and now NG2. What more can they offer?

I for one am highly critical of the animation style featured in this upcoming movie. It has that nickelodeon feel. It reminds me of another star wars movie - Return of the Jedi - and how Lucas went for that kiddie appeal by adding the fuzzy teddy bear atrocities we've come to know as Ewoks!

For all intents and purposes this game could have been achieved on XBOX1. Sure, the graphics are improved for the next-gen hardware, but there isn't much that sets this apart from the first one besides more gore.

Europe is a more important territory than America for the simple reason that the dollar is hitting all time lows against the Euro. That's the reason there is still a Wii shortage in America - nintendo is shipping more units to EU because those sales are more valuable.
That's also why the 360 can afford to be sold at about the same price as a Wii.
I still think this is an outrage that we'll have to wait til '09 for FF13- too many games are coming out in early '09...

GTA:SA and GTA4 were both held to a DVD9 standard. Why was there more content and a bigger city in GTA:SA? Hmm, maybe because the extra coding GTA4 took to achieve its next gen graphics and physics left less space for actual "content".

Seeing as how Bioware is an EA owned company and EA software sells better on PS3, you can pretty much bet it is coming to PS3. MS doesn't own Mass Effect as an IP, they just publish it.
