How is this news? Just because he works for Microsoft doesn't mean he is not allowed to play a PS3 or a PSP. Most people in the video game industry who make games for one console MIGHT actually enjoy playing games on the other consoles.
Even beyond just enjoying games in general, you have to know your competition.
I want a PS3 that will clean my house
More precisely, Microsoft likes to enter saturated markets by buying out all of the competition and then causing said market to stagnate and rot into a putrid pile of poo. And then when someone else tries to bring something fresh, they crank their FUD machine into high gear.
Wow, who let the trolls out?
Wouldn't surprise me if it was a Microsoft handheld. Maybe they're turning the Zune into a PSP-alike?
An Apple console would be very interesting. Of course, there wouldn't be any games for it. ;-)
I like to play games like this on easy first so I can enjoy the story without getting frustrated by dying ever 3.2 seconds. Then another runthrough on Crushing. The original was pretty damned challenging on Crushing, it will be interesting to see how hard the new one is.
Yeah, just from the trailers this baby is GOTY hands down. If it plays anything like the original and looks that good, there is no way it can be beat. And that's even without multiplayer and co-op.
Picking that beyotch up tonight at midnight. I will stab anyone in line before me, don't you get in my way mofo.
It would be even more newsworthy if it WASN'T on the top of the bestseller's list already. But awesome news still, I hope this title does well.
There have been very good movies about recent wars that treat the subject matter well and nobody asks whether they have gone too far or if they are being insensitive or offensive. But the second that a video game tries to do the same, cue the right wing hypocrits. I feel embarrassed to be an american thanks to people like this guy. He gives americans AND CHRISTIANS a bad name.
Like it or not, video games are just as much art or crap as movies or any other medium. The oft-maligned...
it's hard to top 10/1, not every week can have > 100 new additions
yeah, that's a good question. I'm hoping for both!
THAT would be awesome. Though I don't see it happening. When retailers have sales it is on product that they have already bought from the manufacturer, so they can charge whatever they want for it. But this is essentially just another avenue to buy from the PS Store, whose prices are set by Sony and/or the publisher if it's a 3rd party piece of content.

You youngsters and your graphics. I started gaming when you actually had to READ what was going on. Adventure and Nethack and Zork. If you haven't been eaten by at least ONE grue then you're a little b!tch. ;-)
Man, this has been a pretty quiet fall. Between Uncharted 2 and CoD:MW2, everybody else is scared shirtless and pushing everything back to 2010.
Which is why they waited so long to drop the price, wow it's like they knew what they were doing!
Essentially, the real world becomes the game world. Real world places can become in-game places... and vice versa. For instance, going to a Gamestop can take you to an in-game store.
There would have to be some form of GPS or camera or some way to capture your current real-world location and state to somehow map back to the game world.
It makes my brain hurt to try to think about. Definitely cutting edge stuff, and definitely some VERY cool possibilities.
Because the App Store isn't just for games, so they really have no process in place for requiring an ESRB rating. You don't have to have a game rated for it to be sold, in fact getting an ESRB rating is completely voluntary. But many retailers won't carry your game if it isn't rated. So, the fact that Apple (the retailer in this case) doesn't require the rating means that there is no incentive to small developers to get rated.
Also, the cost for rating is based on your developmen...
