I'm already in line for Batman. I love the MGS feel. If the full game is half as good as the demo, it will be one of my favorites of 2009.
#27 - Remote Play, being able to play some PS3 games on my PSP over the Internet from anywhere in the world.
#28 - PS3/PSP connectivity. Some great games like Resistance 2 and Resistance Retribution and the upcoming GT5 give you bonuses for owning both the PS3 and PSP versions of a game, giving you exclusive content. This is starting to be picked up by other 3rd party titles like Ubi's Assassin's Creed
Really, there are more reasons than I can count. A peek at my gam...
Great article! Good to see some non-fanboy-drivel on N4G!
I would totally pay for a PS2 emulator, I still have a ton of PS2 games that I would love to be able to play without the hassle of finding my PS2 and getting it all hooked up to my HDTV.
Hell, I would pay $10-20 to buy downloadable versions of some of my favorite PS2 games that I still have, just to make it easier to play them.
I think it will come eventually, I just wish it was sooner rather than...
Not quite as sexy as the big, black, beautiful, BD-packing beast but it's petite and perky but still packs a punch. Ok, that's enough alliteration for me.
I'm sensing a new firmware update and some new PSN features...
Hot damn! I might have to buy another copy of LBP... hmm, that would make 3.
I don't get Final Fantasy...
Hopefully NFS: Shift will be better than NFS: Undercover. Maggie Q is pretty hot, but it will take more than her to get me to buy NFS: Shift.
They will still need BC to be able to sell PS2 games on the PS Store, unless they port them to PS3. It would be more cost effective to implement BC. IMO it's a matter of when. If they add PS2 games to the PS Store, they need BC. And if they want to be able to retire the PS2, they need BC.
The difference between metacritic scores and sales is that sales don't necessarily equal quality. And sales are skewed because of the larger install base of the 360. Plus sales are really meaningless to gamers anyways except for the fact that a game that sells well will get a sequel. Unless of course you work for a developer or publisher and are getting a cut of the sales dollars.
But ultimately, all of these numbers don't compare to your gaming experience. If you prefer one over...
The only thing that I would disagree with in the article is that developers who aren’t using the CBE effectively are lazy. It really is a difficult system to take full advantage of. I'm a programmer. It takes time, and therefore money, to learn the best ways to make full use of the SPUs that are the workhorses of the CBE. If you take the SPEs out of the picture, the PS3 really is not as powerful as the 360 so it is critical to offload processing to the SPEs. But of course WITH the SPEs the PS...
I'm anxious for Trine. I played the PC demo and it looks great
LOL! Yeah, that was a good one. I wonder if this one will be as long as any of the MGS4 cut scenes...
It will be interesting to see what comes of this.
who the hell lives in a yellow submarine?
I don't understand the fuss over this game. Is there something I'm missing?
nice, I'm still on the fence about this one. It will either be really bad or really good. but that's a great deal!
I pre-ordered the Hardened Edition from GameStop today. So yeah.
I'd totally buy a Semi-Hardened or Mostly-Flacid Edition.
I'm sick of freaking Windows-only software. I'm getting a PSP Go on day one, but I can't use any of the media features because I have a Mac. Then again, I would probably never use half of the features of MediaGo anyways. Oh well.
screw front of the box, send her IN the box
I loved Mini Ninjas, it's a kid friendly game that even has something for us "grown ups". It's very well made, simple and entertaining. Makes me wonder why games have to try to get so fancy, when a fairly simple game like this captivated both me and my son.
I loved the inclusion of the EU demos. Great article wolfehound.
