I pretty damn well can. *disagrees*
@DevilishSix: good point, I didn't think about it. I was thinking more in terms of total consoles sold across all three major brands, and I suspect that the original commenter also did under this criteria.
Your argument, however, is true as well.
Because we want it NOW! D:<

Star Fox 64, Guitar Hero III, Super Mario Bros 2.
On this generation of consoles, I haven't came close to playing a game 5 times, except for Guitar Hero III on PS3 and Wii. Don't have the time nor the will for that.
3 times is the most I've played a current-gen game, and that's for Uncharted and Uncharted 2 (and mainly because they're pretty short but sweet games).
:P
GT 1 & 2 = PS1.
GT 3 & 4 = PS2.
GT 5 & 6 = PS3.
See the pattern here? (I'm not counting GT: Prologue because that was just a pretty early version of GT5, basically a glorified demo sold at full retail price).
I think it's logical to conclude that the PS4 will see GT 7 and maybe GT 8, depending on development times.
Did you come up with that number by adding the install bases of Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360? Because it doesn't really work that way, nowadays there's a considerable overlap. It's quite common to see multi-console owners now (usually a Wii + one of the other two consoles, with a few having all three).
We have also to consider that there were a lot of replacement units bought for the PS3 and especially the Xbox 360 (YLOD and, to a much bigger scale, the RROD fiasco, whic...
I think a lot of people misunderstood your comment. You aren't saying the premium cars' cockpit view is crap, you're talking about the so-called "cockpit view" of the standard cars, which is only a pretty shitty black generic outline, right?
@StockpileTom: oh, derp. I meant 2 out of each 3 Wii U owners. I don't know what happened to my brain here. :P
Dear God. New Super Mario Bros Wii sold around 30 million copies, and Mario Galaxy about 10 million. Both games are among the best selling Wii games of all time. Stop saying lies and do some proper research.
Right now, Super Mario Bros U's attach rate is at about 66%. That means that roughly 1 out of each 3 Wii U owners have that game.
So yes, it IS working. That franchise remains a system seller. The problem is that Mario Bros U, alone, is simply not enough. The Wii U would've sold even less than it's sold so far if Mario U hadn't been there at launch, and the games' sales numbers back up that claim.
For me, it's Xenoblade 2 (or whatever X is), Wind Waker HD, 3D Mario, Smash Bros, Bayonetta 2, Mario Kart U and Pikmin 3, out of Nintendo's announced games so far. Maybe Yarn Yoshi as well, if the gameplay provides a bit of a challenge, because I found Kirby's Epic Yarn pretty boring due to how easy it was.
I don't know about WAVES of brilliant games, but at least I'm looking forward to those I listed. I hope they hit stores sooner rather than later, and I...
@Pekolie: Watch Dogs WAS in Ubisoft's E3 conference, I don't know what you been smoking.
Hell yeah! As someone who toroughly enjoyed Zombi U (blemishes and all), the possibility of playing a sequel makes me giddy.
Also, judging by Ubisoft's track record, I would expect Zombi U 2 to be vastly improved over the first (see: Red Steel and Assassin's Creed, both very flawed games that were vastly improved upon in their sequels).
A BIG part of Zombi U's charm is the gamepad implementation, so I'm not sure it would've been even half as good as the Wii U version if it appeared in other consoles.
Many of these games that you say people don't care about, are part of game franchises that vastly outsells any of Sony's fanchises.
Tone down the fanboyism, will ya?
Yup, some people are perfectly capable of not reading and not understanding articles. In fact, I would say a lot of people are capable of that.
We live in quite a capable world.
:)
My favorite 2D Mario game of all time. Bring it on! :D
You are dumb and everyone who reads your dumb comment becomes a little dumber, too. Thank you for that.
Bro. This was Nintendo's press release. Of course they wouldn't announce the demo for non-Nintendo platforms.
It doesn't mean the other consoles won't have it. I don't know for sure, but I bet that there will also be a demo on Xbox Live (seeing how there are demos for pretty much everything), and I don't think Sony would want to be left behind, so surely they will procure a demo for the PS3 as well.
After all these months, I have yet to see a single reliable website giving official confirmation about this Origin rumor. So far, I only read this coming from commenters like yourself mostly from sites like this.
I guess gamers love them conspiracy theories.
EA is just one of many developers that currently ain't supporting the console, and the most likely reason is simply install base. That does not mean they will NEVER make any game for the Wii U, it jus...
