And we can't even call the Wii U a commercial failure yet, not until it definitely flops and gets prematurely retired from the market like the Virtual Boy was (the ONLY true console flop in the entirety of Nintendo's history, BTW, and they survived it just fine).
The Wii U hasn't even seen the release of Mario Kart, 3D Mario, Metroid, Zelda, Mario Party, Wii Fit U, etc etc etc, and people are already labeling it a failure. Give me a break. It's in bad shape, b...
Definitely Xbox, because of A, B, and LT - RT buttons.
Can't it be a bit of both?
Lol. This is for the 3DS, which doesn't need any saving at all.
Er.... both the DS and 3DS have / had great 3rd party support. ALL Nintendo handhelds always did.
Don't compare Nintendo's handhelds with Nintendo's home consoles, especially in regards to third party content. They couldn't be more different in that area.
If it is 720p, it will be a marked step up from GTA IV and its expansions (Gay Tony and Lost & Damned), which ran all at 640p, at least on the PS3. The resolution looked decent on my 32" 720p Sony Bravia when I first played those games, but when I replayed them on my upgraded TV (full HD 50" Viera), my eyes bled. So. Damn. Blurry.
:P
So... you answer a ridiculous claim with another equally ridiculous claim?
When (and if) the Wii U is retired from the market due to poor sales (like the Dreamcast), you will be able to accurately call it a flop. Until that day comes (if it ever comes), shut your mouth.
The Wii lasted 6 full years before its sucessor was released. This generation of consoles has been by far the longest in video game history, so we really don't have the slightest idea how long will the next generation last (Wii U included).
But... acording to the dudes, it's about an unnanounced game. Infamous Second Son was well announced a few months ago.
:/
Shit. Something like that would definitely take the entirety of the magazine, not just 20 pages.
:P
Lol, I first read your post and thought "why in the hell is this dude talking like Jaqen?", then I saw your name and avatar and loled.
Well done.
Contra, Street Fighter, Gradius, Battletoads...
What? Those aren't Nintendo properties, dude. Neither is Centipede nor R-Type, and I don't even know what Galager is.
That leaves Metroid... which saw Metroid Prime 3, Metroid Other M and the Metroid Prime Trilogy all released for the Wii.
So, either you're brilliantly trolling, or incredibly ignorant.
Now wait a second here. Donkey Kong Country was one of the best looking games on the SNES at the time, both from an artistic and, yes, technical side. Not only did it look pretty because of a solid art direction, it also pushed the SNES' power like very, very few games could.
I don't honestly remember any Genesis game that came even close to DKC graphically.
Why not? There was a GT game for PSP, and Gran Turismo is easily Sony's best selling franchise, so... GT Vita not going to happen?
More like, TOTALLY going to happen, especially considering Vita needs to pick up in sales.
It's because the Wii, as of now, has an install base of almost 100 million users, whereas the Wii U's playerbase is merely about 3 million and half.
Simple math, really.
Nope. Not a single game can sustain a console, not even a brand as powerful as Mario (although it helps a great deal on sales, that's for sure).
But a 3D Mario, along with a Zelda, and a Mario Kart, and a Mario Party, and other Nintendo games... yeah, those games will definitely help to maintain the Wii U afloat even if its third party support falters.
Of course, the best thing would be if it was strong in both fronts (first and third party content). It w...
1. Mario
2. Zelda
3. Metroid
That's it for me. The order may vary for each Nintendo fan.
I'm not going to read the article because of the headline alone. It's misleading, it's sensationalist, it's hit-seeking, and it hurts the game industry because of misinformation.
The article itself may be well written, may raise valid points, but I can't support bad journalism, and doing these kind of headlines that are absolutely misleading is a practice I can't and won't support. Because of this, I won't click on the actual article, until the...
Skipping the press conference does NOT equate to skipping E3 altogether, which is what was implied in the headline. I've seen A LOT of people confused here in N4G, thinking that Nintendo won't be there at all, and that's thanks to idiotic headlines like this one that are absolutely misleading.
You think before you speak, because I'm pretty well aware of what's going on here. Nintendo not doing the major press that they usually do every year, instead choosi...
Nah, not quite there yet. I love my Wii U, but it's still lacking severely in games, both third and first party.
I'd say around september or so would be a good time to buy a Wii U.
