Batra, your opinions are interesting, but please turn those caps off.
By Christmas? Yeah, VERY unlikely.
In my opinion, all three consoles have a chance of "dominating", for very different reasons. Because of this, I actually will hold from making prophecies, and just wait to see how it all turns out.
To give a few examples:
- Wii U: lowest entry price of all three consoles ($300), with a possibility of a price drop right before the other two consoles launch, good indie support, and the strength of Nintendo's own IPs. Haters can hate all they want,...
Dear God. I LOVE Xenoblade Chronicles, and I also happen to LOVE games like Grand Theft Auto IV, God of War 3, Mario Galaxy 2, all the Uncharted games, etc.
What's wrong with having particular tastes, or enjoying some genres of games more than others?
Drop that "intelectual gamers" bullshit, dude. This is videogames we're talking about, not scholar books, not rocket science. The point of playing videogames is to have fun, and just because yo...
The title is called like that because you control 100 little superheroes. So, the 100 superheroes need to save the world, or something like that... with YOUR help, making YOU the Wonderful 101th one.
Personally, I think it's quite a charming concept. :)
That game was already topped... by Super Mario Galaxy 2.
:P
While I think those games will probably be pretty high quality, that doesn't automatically means high attach rates. Pikmin 1 and Pikmin 2 weren't that popular on the Gamecube despite being met with critical acclaim, and Wonderful 101 is a completely new IP, so it's untested.
That just shows you didn't read the article, and congratulations, you're just one of these mindless people that just make silly comments without taking REALITY into account. Exactly the kind of people the author of the article is calling out.
Here's the picture, dude: no matter how slow the Wii U's sales have been, the fact remains that it's sold more than 3 million units worldwide to date.
To think that Sony and Microsoft will manage to s...
If you're going to use the price of the base console for Wii U, use the same criteria for PS4 as well. PSN isn't mandatory, making its base price $400.
It doesn't actually detract from your argument. That's still a $100 difference, which will matter in the mind of a lot of consumers (especially dads and moms looking to give their kids a new console this upcoming Christmas).
Also, a new Battallion Wars would be just great. Now that's a series that can put the Gamepad to awesome use.
@Realplaya
It's somewhat accurate to compare it to Pikmin, because they're sort of the same type of game. He's not saying it's exactly the same, but I can see the similarities. They're both kind of RTS games, after all. Only that Wonderful 101 seems more actiony than Pikmin.
@PopRocks
I agree, there's definitely some other games for Wii U worth checking out besides those listed. Personally, I know I'm getting Watch Do...
Just checked it. Yeah, exactly those games. Lol.
Shows that they're, indeed, the best Wii U games to look forward to for the remainder of this year. :P
Let me guess:
Wonderful 101, Pikmin 3, Wind Waker HD, Donkey Kong and Mario 3D World.
Now I'll check the article.
Right now, I'd advice you to save your money. I was one of those day one backers, because I was in love with the idea behind the console.
Heck, I still support the overall idea, but the implementation has been really subpar. The OS is terrible, and it's very inconsistent across TVs. The image on my TV appears partially cropped, and I've read that it's a widespread issue, with lots of other people having even worse cropping issues than myself.

I strongly disagree with Reggie here.
1. The PS2 was definitely weaker than the Cube and Xbox, true, but the gap in power wasn't as big as it is between the Wii U and the Xbox One and PS4. This time around, it's likely that it will be much harder to port games to Wii U than it was to port them to PS2.
2. The Wii example, while more close to the Wii U in terms of power gap, doesn't exactly apply here, either. Because the Wii was a phenomenon from ...
And how, exactly, do you know this game is going to be crap?
Have you played it? Oh, right, it hasn't been released yet.
Or are you just one of those people that think all indie games are crap just because they're not AAA games?
Also, you fail to see the underlying point here. This isn't the only indie dev that will pass on the Xbox One, many others will do the same, because Microsoft isn't allowing them to self-publish these ...
Uh, I have a Ouya and I've been able to use it just fine without putting in any credit card info. I don't know what this article is going about.
:/
In the end, what defines the quality of a console, handheld or otherwise, is its games library. And in that aspect, the 3DS is absolutely destroying the Vita and mobile devices, making it effectively yhe best handheld out there.
Go ahead, disagree if you want, but this isn't really anything new. This is why the PS2 was also considered by the main public to be the best home console of its time, despite it being technologically inferior to both the Cube and first Xbox.
Get some history lessons, dude.
77% is a good game, dude.
