As a Njntendo fan, I can tell you that graphics do matter a great deal to me. Gameplay will always be king, but I'll take a game with awesome gameplay AND awesome graphics over a game with just awesome gameplay any day of the week.
It's not a matter of going to either extreme, but finding the perfect balance between both factors. Any so-called Nintendo fan that says that graphics don't matter at all is flat out lying, or in denial. Try and find a single one that ...
For a second, I read AC as Assassin's Creed. I got pretty confused here. XD
Not really, the reason behind Mario Kart Wii's was mostly because it had 12 racers, a first for the series (before that entry, it was always 8 racers).
I honestly think Mario Kart Wii is actually a much better game than most people give it credit for, really underappreciated. I'm glad the motorcycles are coming back for the Wii U version.
I think he meant Skarlett, not you.
You're being an apologist. Do you really think Mario kart 8 won't have people swearing and dropping out, etc?
The fact is, nowadays pretty much any game with offline multiplayer would also benefit from a online component. If this is true for Mario Kart, it's true for Mario 3D World, New Super Mario, Smash Bros, etc etc etc.
(Yeah, I'm aware that Brawl had online, but it was so broken, it was the same as not having it at all. I NEVER was able t...
Why? We're practically getting two Smash games this time, instead ofnjust one. To me it sounds like they're trying to make both games similar enough to allow some kind of integration between the two (although not cross-play), but different enough as to actually feel like two different games. I'm liking what I'm reading here.
As for the competitive side of things Sakurai has already confirmed that they're trying to find a middle ground between Melee and Bra...
Nope. They are publishing it, yes, but that's not exactly the same as owning it. It is still Platinum's IP, making it a third party exclusive (for now).
No. Unless you say the same about every other third party publisher that chose not to support Wii U because the install base is just not big enough for them to take the risk. There's a lot of game publishers with that same exact stance, yet people seem quite intent on making EA look like the Devil here. They're no different from any other of those companies, and this is just business.
It's Nintendo's job to ensure that the install base grows to a size big enou...
Er... the difference here is that they can develop multiplatform titles that go out for both the Xbox One and PS4. It's comparatively cheaper than tailoring development solely for the Wii U, which has a different architecture (and much less powerful), and there's a bigger potential install base there than on the Wii U alone.
Now I expect to be disagreed to hell just because I dared to explain EA's business reasoning. Ok, come at me, guys. :P
Nice post. Now if you could just throw, you know, some actual facts in there... that would be great.
Nintendo also has Lego City Undercover, Bayonetta 2, Zombi U and Wonderful 101 as notable exclusives. :)
Not to mention full ROBOTS and machinery and fucking AI in Skyward Sword, which, in my opinion, are all a tad more technologically advanced than a steam train... and that game takes place thousands of years before Spirit Tracks.
Lol. XD
I did play the original on the 3DS. It's a damn fun and challenging game. Only downside is that it was a bit on the short side in my opinion, but I believe the Wii U version has a bit more content thrown into it.
What do you mean?
X will surely be a "full-on RPG", if Xenoblade is any indication.
And Xenoblade is an AWESOME rpg with an absurd amount of content.
This news actually makes me happy, because that means that each Smash will have its unique flavor and exclusive stuff, differentiating them from each other.
Basically, we will be getting more bang for our buck this way, should we buy both versions.
:)
I feel that me, and my brother, are the only persons in the whole universe that actually loved the tripping. It was so stupid, we found it hilarious.
Then again, that's why we love these kind of Nintendo games: because they're unfair as hell, and to us, the unpredictability and chaos is about 90% of what makes those games fun. Yes, we love the blue shell in Mario Kart, too. :P
We're not ultra hardcore Smash players, so we find those people obsesse...
I LOVE the Ice Climbers, it would break if they went away.
Nope, let 'em stay. They're damn original and great to play with. Get rid of the clones instead.
You're right, but that has absolutely nothing to do with the point of the actual article. It's not about the sales of one franchise (Metroid) vs. the other. It's not even about Retro doing a new Donkey Kong instead of a Metroid.
It's about the changes in their staff.
The gamepad can play games by itself? What are those games? I've had a Wii U since day one and this is the first time I hear about this.
Care to enlighten me?
Wonderful 101 isn't third party, Platijum owns the IP. Nintendo is just publishing it, just like they are publishing Bayo 2, and just like they published Lego City. That doesn't really mean they own any of these IPs.
