^ Exactly what I was thinking. The current gen version seems to be lacking a bit in terms of textures, but polygons and lighting actually look decent, about on par with current gen graphics. Of course it looks awful compared to the PC footage, but that is simply because the PC version is fucking STUNNING graphically.

You have to admit, it's pretty damn good for being only 8 months old and Nintendo's first foray into social gaming. It will only get better and better over time, Nintendo has shown that they care deeply about Miiverse, and have already updated it quite a lot. Today's Miiverse is much, much better than it was when the Wii U launched.

As a Limbo fan, I'm naturally loving the art style on this trailer (this is the first I see about Monochroma).
However, the character animations... they are awful. Too rigid, spastic, and weightless. I hope the developers improve those animations, because they look horribly out of place when compared to how smooth everything else in the trailer looks.
Financially (speaking under the viewpoint of Nintendo's business side of things, not as a gamer), I don't think it makes sense to cut the Wii U's price right now just because Pikmin 3 is released. The PS4 and Xbox One won't be released in at least three month's time (november is the most safe bet for these consoles to release), so I expect Nintendo to wait and slash the Wii U's price just before the other next-gen consoles launch.

Ok, a couple things to note:
1. You will MAYBE be able to play PS1 Classics on your PS4... and that's it. All those other downloadable games available on PSN for PS3? They won't run on your PS4, it's not backwards compatible at all. Sony has already confirmed this.
2. On Wii U, you can access EVERYTHING that was available for Wii, Virtual Console and Wiiware games. You just need to access them in Wii mode. It's just a pretty small inconvenienc...

Regarding Nintendo being "dead set on not giving us Mother 3"... well, not long ago they were also dead set on not giving us Earthbound. They were also dead set on not giving us Xenoblade Chronicles, Last Story and Pandora's Tower, and well, all of them came to happen in the end, to major or minor degree.

What do you think of games like Bit.Trip Runner, Super Meat Boy, Limbo, Super Hexagon, Fez, etc? Games that have pretty simple art styles because they were made by incredibly small dev teams (usually 1 or 2 guys), but with superb gameplay and great looking art direction?
Ok, this could mean something huge is coming. I honestly don't see why would Nintendo bother with making a Earthbound community solely for developer announcements, unless they had further plans to do with the license.

Nope, trust me, your old games would look loads better on a CRT monitor. That is simply because your TV has a much higher pixel density than what these games were programmed for, and because of this, the pixels in your games won't look sharp, but diluted into many, many more smaller pixels.
