Can't wait to dive into this.
No one is inferring it is, but it was the first one to debut this generation. And on that token, The Devil's Daughter is a great followup the build upon what its predecessor did right while adding an excellent overarcing narrative that strings the different cases together.
If you enjoyed the original then you'll be very happy with what this sequel brings to the table.
Gotta say, didn't see this one coming.
"Bury me with my money..."
Well said, Death. I agree with you wholeheartedly.
Plunking down 4-500 dollars for a platform that only offers the kinds of games you can finish in one sitting just doesn't seem like a great investment, and it's not hard to imagine that kind of brevity will be a huge turnoff for many gamers.
I agree that VR is best enjoyed in short spurts. The thing is, the games themselves don't have to be short, they just have to offer enough places where you can comfortably stop and pick up from where you left off. The idea that VR games themselves need to be short for the comfort of the player doesn't make any sense when a game could be designed to tell a grand story but afford players plenty of places to save their game and dive back into the action.
I imagine Resi...
Sure, but by that same token we've come to expect games where our characters are comprised of more than five pixels moving to the sound of a garbage disposal on the fritz.
As technology improves, so do does the expectation that the games we experience evolving accordingly. And when we're spending more for a peripheral than a console retails for, it's not unfair to expect lasting gaming experiences that stay with the player for longer than it takes to push out la...
So long as the price of the software reflects as much. Crytek slapping a $60 price tag on Robinson, a three hour game, could set a lousy precedent. Still, at least Amazon has it priced $20 cheaper ahead of release.
Guessing just improved tectures & resolution. THQ Nordic didn't go into specific detail, only stating it was enhanced.
Haha. Zero was an absolute train wreck. It's a shame because I loved the original to death.
What a difference 10 months makes. Totally glad the $60 Early Access period is finally over.
Can't wait for Final Fantasy XV!
The five hour story is a quick burn, for sure. However, what's there is quite possibly the most polished campaign we've seen in years.
TecToy issued a statement saying the decision was made to only include composite as it's still the most used standard in Brazil, which is their market. The inclusion of HDMI supports would have added to the price and they wanted to avoid that.
The built-in lineup is solid, plus it offers SD card support and has a cartridge slot.
While they've certainly stumbled with a few of their releases, they haven't all been that bad. Pixel Gear was a fun and nostalgic light gun shooter that was a worthwhile experience despite its bite-sized package.
It's actually on the PSVR demo disc. Check it out. The controls take a bit of getting used to, but once you get your sea legs they're not so bad.
Naval battles are one of the biggest additions, as well as the new Officer Mode.
Very handy. Thanks for tossing this up.
