You're not kidding. In their prime they thrived on taking risky gambles and shaking things up. I miss having them in the console industry so much.
Who in this thread or the feature called any of these games bad? A game doesn't have to be awful to ultimately disappoint or fail to reach its full potential.

Oh yeah, that and the decision to keep the retro aesthetic has me sold. It looks like an awesome throwback to the early days of the beat 'em up genre, and I can't wait to check it out.

@Johnny - Exactly. And simply good is not what we were hoping for after such gems as Max Payne 1 & 2 and Alan Wake. QB suffered from repetitive enemies, weightless, unsatisfying gunplay, and a host of other issues that kept if from being the game it could have been. I thought it was fun, but ultimately forgettable. With a MC score of 77 and a MC user score of 6.8, seems pretty in line with how many others felt about the game.
Loved the PS4 version. Looks like a solid purchase.

Reading comprehension indeed. The game is Valkyria Revolution, the latest entry in the Valkyria series. It doesn't matter if it doesn't follow the conventions of its predecessors - it's still very much an entry in the series in the same way Final Fantasy XV is a Final Fantasy title despite being profoundly removed from previous games in the franchise both thematically and mechanically.

However, clocking in at roughly 90 minutes, the visual flaws and technical problems plaguing a Telltale experience can really impact your overall enjoyment of the game.
And that's not even factoring in the forgettable narrative this chapter delivered.
