Really solid review.
I can't help but think about all of the fuss over Nintendo's pricey carts in the 16-64bit eras. Definitely hope they manage to trim down the price of production.
The padding was definitely an issue, especially when you consider the fact that the game had a total of what, three or four locales? Too much backtracking through the same small handful of places really made Skyward Sword wear out its welcome long before it should have.
You know it. I still play my copy to this day!
Yes, I subscribe to the radical idea that a company should indeed be able to profit off of their IP. I'm a downright extremist.
As for taking it in the ass, I own all of the carts already and play them frequently. I'm glad SNK can make some more money off of them and share some of the best games of the 16-bit era with a wider audience. KoF XIV was sublime, and if these proceeds help with the development of another SNK property seeing a finely-tuned release, I'm ...
$8 is very fair, especially when the cheapest game of the bunch sells for well over $100 on the AES, with most being had for hundreds more. That said, it's pretty silly to complain that these are being offered for the price of a greasy fast food dinner.
Happy to help!
@EddieNX Shock Troopers is a sublime run-n-gun and one of the finest games to grace the Neo. Also, the killer drum & bass soundtrack will melt your face off.
I've been wishing for Vanessa since day one, man. Here's hoping!
That's the big question. The lack of muscle will probably be the biggest factor when it comes to keeping major third party studios in the fold, but if devs who typically develop for handhelds lend their support along with indie studios, that could really make all of the difference in ensuring the Switch sees a healthy stable of compelling software.
My thoughts exactly.
Strange that Nintendo would have this disabled by default.
Good stuff as always from GH.
I still can't get over how deep this game is. Proves Guerrilla is definitely a studio who can learn new tricks.
Very helpful - thanks!
Bring on Zelda!
Shame the game didn't live up to the hype.
I like how many cameos they included, especially Nosferatu Zodd.
Really looking forward to getting my hands on this one.
It's definitely one of the better ones to release in recent years. I can't wait until Experience releases Operation Babel: New Tokyo Legacy next month.
