Someone doesn't understand the meaning of the word usually. Plus if you think Indies won't jump on a $500 dev kit as apposed to one costing thousands you're kidding yourself and the fanboys that will no doubt blindly agree with you. Those developers are Indies for a reason.
If it is true that every Xbox One will be capable of being a developer kit, then any Sony Indie advantage will quickly disappear. You can't make it any more accessible than that.As far as launch parity goes, it's important. Anyone paying attention knows a game launching later on a different platform usually gets killed in sales. Of course they want a more even shot. To not see that is what is short-sighted.
Knight Shadow Run would disagree with that.
Exoskeletons equates sci-fi. You guys need to look at modern military research. They will appear in the near future.
But one fan base is far more likely to be lured by silly stuff like this.
Wrong. Windows is huge in China. Microsoft has been working with their government for years trying to stop it from being pirated. Microsoft have a long standing relationship with the Chinese government.
Darkride, there is a magazine you can checkout online named home media guide. It will explain to you how the studios have been trying to kill Netflix for years. Hulu was about killing Netflix. Their is a reason Netflix original content exist. The studios made it stronger by trying to kill it.
I think the author should refrain from criticizing Microsoft for streaming original content by pointing out that 50% of console users are using them to stream TV. The people that criticize Microsoft for it would have no matter what they do. Especially when you add they he criticizes them for not just focusing on gaming by complaining about shows that don't appeal to a wider audience like House of Cards or Orange is the New Black. Hummm, odd.
I remember complaints that Sony used to treat developers as an afterthought in the early days. Not even translating instructions in dev kits. But this Microsoft ignores Indies is another fanboy figment of their own imaginations. And I'm sure developers have figured out that a little wining will buy their support.
People keep saying Microsoft should get out of gaming. Big businesses know that they all should be getting in. Gaming is getting bigger and bigger. Smart money is on getting in.
Its funny that people go on and on about what can't be done. Remember that you base that on what you can't do or don't understand. Multi-billion dollar corporations have people a little smarter than you and the money to get things done. This type of naysaying has occurred with each and every internet advancement. PlayStation fans need to keep in mind that game streaming was considered impossible just two or three years ago.
I think smaller, constant updates are also better because the wait is shorter for easy fixes and there is less chance of something killing your system. Huge updates lead to errors for some users.

Actually there is nothing wrong with what Microsoft has done in the past(well not nothing, all companies can do better). But this silly idea that MS is more focused on other things than Sony is is a joke. There is nothing the Xbox does that the Playststion doesn't As Jack Tretton said after Microsoft announced original content, "we'll have original content too". People need to ignore the differences in power and stop using that as a smoke screen to hi...
I wasn't including anything else. Just the cost of the machine itself. If it takes a game or two plus PS+ then the console must be sold at a slight loss. If it is sold at a loss, I would have to believe the cost of the RAM as the issue. But that RAM is also a major help to the power of the system so an initial loss doesn't matter. Coming contract changes and parts re-negotiations should make the PS4 profitable within the year on the box only. Xbox One should be sold at a slight profit...
Mediate I don't believe the PS4 is sold at a loss. I'm would bet it about breaks even or makes a small profit. Having an APU in a console is a huge advantage over having a separate GPU and CPU. Though many seem to believe Xbox doesn't make money though Microsoft has had the same situation with the 360 for over five years. But we know the reason for that.
@Legion. The Japanese have never been like their American counterparts with ridiculous salaries. I'm sure ...
Maybe the headline should have been, Molyneux finally admits he's out of new ideas.
Anyone that believes the Xbox One's sales numbers are comparable to Original Xbox numbers can't count. The Original sold 25 million in four years. One is on pace to sell over ten million in the first year. Learn a little about retail sales. 40% of all sales occur during the last quarter of the year. One has sold 4 million units with three quarters including that most important last quarter left. One is on pace to surpass the 6 million the 360 sold in year one by a ton. Maybe even doub...
I don't know why people find it hard to believe that DX12 can make a big difference on the CPU side on Xbox One. We all should know that most of the cores are idle a lot. If DX12 puts them to use on a regular basis,we should see major gains. That's just common sense. Denying that is just fanboy wishing.
The advantage Microsoft has is their long standing relationship with the Chinese government. They have worked together in the past.
They will be in a position for a price drop in a few months anyway. Just wait a while and the price will drop with Kinect.
