Actually Quantum Break looks like the Uncharted reveal trailer.
But if it can do what they claim it does revolutionize gaming. Games that are that much closer to reality are a huge step toward the holy grail of mimicking the real world.
When people, especially" journalist, downplay the conference its obvious where it comes from. This is a problem with gaming in general. Gamescom is usually just pretty much more of what you saw at E3. This included lots of things we didn't see at this year's E3.
E3 was mostly about this year. Gamescom mostly about next year. Get the difference. We got Halo Wars and we got to see Crackdown. I'm looking forward to Wars since I love RTSs and the conference chang...
I think you are underestimating the amount of new technology Microsoft has put into this as well as the amount of infrastructure they are adding. They seem to be making the technology behind this open source, so in that respect you are right. Not sure if all of it will be. I know Project Orleans was opened. The compression technology developed with Duke University I'm not sure about.
But you are completely dismissing the expense for someone else to do this save Google or ...
Maybe it will be regional or mission based. Either each time you start a mission the city resets or it resets once you move to another region of the map.

I checked vgchartz, which I'm sure you'll protest, but its the only source I know besides looking for each month from the more formal sources. They supposedly adjust their numbers when they get more accurate information.
It seems games like Batman are about even. That sounds better for PlayStation but it is actually worse. The reality is despite overall sales being very close, because of RRoD, Xbox is really 15-20 million units behind. For them to outsell or be close ...
The difference between the TR and CoD deals is length and the fact that Microsoft is filling a genre hole. Will Sony get enough people to make it worth their money, absolutely. But Microsoft won't lose much. And Sony has to hope Battlefront doesn't hurt sales too much. Microsoft gets the majority of TR sales through. So that is worth it to them and that is actually another difference.
As far as crossplay goes you assume Xbox players won't use mouse and keyboard. I...
I'd like to see these mods come to consoles too. I'd also like to see developer support for a mod community with dev assistance. They could find a lot of potential employees if they help cultivate the community. Maybe tier in additional tools for more complex users with potential.
I disagree. Over and over I hear people say they like shooters on Xbox because they like the controller. Plus at that time there was a definite difference in the audience. Xbox did well in all shooters but PlayStation consistently beat it at games like Batman and others geared more towards kids. I think more kids remembered the PlayStation name from older relatives and bought one because of that.
Playstation has a large lead but I believe Xbox still has a user base that gra...
Actually its a smart deal for Activision. Maybe for Sony and a good deal for Microsoft. If you look at the big picture it's pretty clear. CoD will sell on the Xbox One regardless. Xbox is the home for shooter fans. So Microsoft doesn't lose much. Plus you have PC and probably crossplay between PC and Xbox. Xbox One is getting mouse and keyboard and it might be allowed for gaming. Microsoft knows they'll get a good piece of any shooter sales so why pay.
Sony has a ...
Godmars there are many gamers who will eventually buy both consoles. It's just a matter of when they buy that second console. At the end of last generation sales fell through the basement. The generation went on to long. When new machines were announced it was like hollering water to people lost in the desert. With the initial belief that the PS4 was 50% more powerful and $100 cheaper on top of the other brainwashing(always on, spying on you for the NSA) it made PS4 the system of choice. ...
I always thought E3 was the biggest event for gaming. Now that I know conferences are meaningless I'll ignore it from now on. All these years companies have spent millions preparing for some silly conference when all they needed to do was set up some booths. Who knew that was how you announced new ips and features.
Hey wait. Or is that what you do when you have nothing else new to announce? Who really knows. I get it. I guess. Thanks for learning me Sony fans.
...
And what would you claim looks better? I'm. Sure I can guess. But that doesn't mean its true. It looks as good as any console game.
So you believe there are suddenly tens of millions more gamers out there because they were so impressed with PS4 that they had to have one. So its not gamers buying all of these consoles, its new gamers? Gaming is growing. But it hasn't grown to the extent to justify PS4 sales. Again, even Sony admits they don't get it.
The Wii sold well because it actually increased the market by bringing in none gamers. Nursing homes and parents. PS4 isn't doing that. It's ...
Godmars I'm basing it on there not suddenly being millions more gamers. We just went through a long lifecycle. Too long. People wanted new hardware badly and were told the PS4 was far more powerful. So they jumped on it. But at some point everyone that wants one will have one. That's when the new gamers will show. They rarely spend full price. Also at that point many will start to buy their second console. Barring an amazing Nintendo machine, that will be an Xbox One.
This lead is overblown. If Sony fans actually listened to themselves they would calm down a bit. Does anyone really believe there is a sudden huge increase in the number of gamers out there. Probably not as big as Sony's increase in sales would have you believe. You have to remember even they don't get why it is selling so well.
Here's the reality. PS4 will continue to sell very well for a couple of more years. But the gap will start shrinking after that. The cont...
I think 360 emulation will come to PC. Microsoft is a different company. They are making their money on being the go to brand and that means having you using a Microsoft product at every turn. It's a different way of marketing.
Microsoft currently spends several billion a year on advertising. Why not allow a PC to play an Xbox game. If that sells hardware great. Add all of the potential new Xbox gamers with Steam like sales on older Xbox titles.
And so ...
This game looks better than anything on PS4. There is no denying Uncharted received a downgrade. QB looks like the Uncharted reveal. It's obvious the engineers at Microsoft actually knew what they were doing this time around on console design. Whatever the changes were they made to the GPU worked out. Plus people are either forgetting or don't know that AMD has a habit of making minor changes and re-branding their products. So besides the added cores, which Microsoft have said is made...
