Thanks for keeping people updated. Though some are just slow on the uptake.

Really the majority that fought against always on were just sheep. You never hear any whining about any of the always on games that have since been released.

What? Is your answer going to be some silly RRoD reference. Leave it in the past. Xbox 360 slim dealt with that almost a decade ago.

The reason for the external power supply from what a person I trust said is for added potential to increase CPU and GPU clock speed once DX12 is implemented. Microsoft engineers have said in the past they value increases in clock over more cores in some instances.

Yeah I think they should wait till next year. That is the best time to change. I believe they also were ready to announce a slim but AMD moving to 14nm next year makes it kind of a waste. People won't be ready for another new version a year from now so why waste money on the change. Waiting a year will allow them to shrink it even more.

I don't think heat is much of an issue. I've heard it was designed with a lot of thermal overhead.

I understan...

Genuine, no cloud computing is not unique to Microsoft. What is unique is the ability to do 800,000 updates a second making adjustments to a simulation on another machine with no lag using just 4mbs of bandwidth. Netflix using more for HD movies and that is a static stream. Besides infrastructure Microsoft developed a ton of new technology to make this happen. If it was as easy as some imply they would have been doing it at launch. All of the tech needed wasn't ready. Obviously it is now....

It's easy to focus on graphics, rain physics and lighting but it's better to focus on driving physics on a driving simulation. Plus considering many are using driving games for online leagues and competition the number of cars matters more than how well a raindrop flows across a windshield.

If you're driving for fun fine. But if you're looking for driving realism it's not like DC was really intended to compete with Forza and GT. Enjoy your wet windshield....

The hardware doesn't need to be altered. They said from day one that the cloud was part of their plan for Xbox One. If anything they undersold what they would do. They initially said the cloud would provide three times the power. Now they say twenty. This is just the console, OS and cloud finally coming together.

Now witness the power of this armed and fully operational Xbox.

Miyamoto, with that name I assume you're an adult. If you question Sony's financial situation the internet is full of articles with quotes from people like CEO Kaz Hirai speaking about Sony's troubles. If their market cap is back up to 33 that is great. But look at their last five years. The last ten. Their cap used to be in the 100 billion range. They have sold off half the company. So if you know what a market cap is, you know enough to look a little further. They may be close t...

Unholy of course Microsoft would pay more for an exclusivity deal right now. That's is one the fanboys have right. It's just like any other business. If you have a better spot(position) you get a better deal. It's location, location, location.

Just based on potential customers or a given percentage of those customers you are likely to sell more on PS4. So in order to get a developer to turn away from a larger potential customer base you need to offer them an ince...

I don't think the desire for BC will die down. It did in the past because there was such a huge difference between console generations. While there is a difference now it doesn't make last generation look so bad it became unplayable. Some of those games will look years from now. Last generation was the start of the point where we approach the uncanny valley. As we cross it, the games that were just short will still have value.

What might make them less playable will b...

BC on PS4 would require additional equipment inside or a new OS. I doubt they will do either. Plus it would kill the value of their Geikai acquisition. The VM design of the Xbox One made BC possible and it makes it possible to emulate many OSs. It's a VM running the 360 OS. It could probably run the PS3 OS too.

Not just that. There's more to it than that.

Miyamoto Sony doesn't have a huge market share with the PS4 in Japan. And it doesn't look like they will any time soon. Japan has gone to mobile. I would think it wouldn't cost much for Microsoft to get DQ on Xbox One.

These arguments are becoming more and more desperate. I know fanboys need attention but damn. You would think you guys would keep a much lower profile after Gamescom but I guess its hard to fight the need to look foolish. After the whole cloud thing and the QB graphical upgrade I noticed something else to make you sad. Microsoft has as many AAA new IPs coming next year.

Hmmm. Interesting. Another fanboy claim to fame gone. You guys are having a really rough month.

I actually see a lot of potential for this. It would work well with a concept I have.

Some people seem to enjoy making themselves look silly. As has been stated by several people in several articles it's funny that we've gone from Microsoft's claims being lies to everyone can do this. And the haters know this because every game made in the last decade has the exact same level of destruction in them too. They could show you but they never use that part of the game.

Please stop it with the delusions. Not every company can do this. So far we only know...

Gamers need to get over themselves. They refuse to accept price increases. But want developers to do more and to take risk. They align themselves with companies instead of supporting good work regardless of who makes it. We've seen so many developers go out of business and quickly latch on to the idea that it was all because of poor management.

These are the ideas of children, not adults with responsibilities. Prices have gone up drastically since 2005 on most things. Whi...

No drugs needed. I'm livin in the real world. Not just standing my ground out of some misguided idea of loyalty. Uncharted received a downgrade. You can't honestly say the gameplay footage looks like the reveal trailer. QB looks better than it's reveal. It looks as good as the Uncharted reveal. Leave your bubble people. Xbox as good as PS4. The truth is in the games. If they release at 1080p and 60fps you will have nowhere else to go. Just man up now. Microsoft is coming through ...

Moldy that's the thing, isn't. Wait until they apply this technology to MMOs. Large scale persistent completely destructible worlds. That will be the real game changer.

I know Microsoft has open sourced a lot of their technology lately but I'm not sure how much of this has been. Some of it, like Project Orleans has. But for right now this may be strictly an Xbox One thing. And PC. This is a huge advantage for Microsoft.

As far as graphics goes, ...
