"Look I'm sorry but resolution is only part of what makes a game look best. A small part at that. It's just sharpness."
-Kingthrash
People formerly considered legally blind rejoice. Lack of sharpness doesn't mean your vision is worse than anyone else's. What you see is very, very pretty.
The king of the north! The king of the north!
Oh, god. Another article bragging about a Sony exclusive.
It depends on the game, developer and engine. But big titles have big TV budgets. But only the big titles get the huge advertising budgets. CoD, GTA, Halo get huge budgets. Others are somewhere well under those.
Same architecture doesn't mean as much with semi-custom parts. There are design decisions made that will give one machine an advantage over another. There are also differences in clock speeds to consider. There is also a difference in compute units on the gpus.
Comparing a premium product's sales to a mainstream product isn't a viable comparison. It's like saying Mercedes Benz isn't successful because Honda sells far more Accords. It's two totally different markets. The proper comparison is Elite versus other higher end controllers like Razer and Scuf. X to Pro is the only gaming comparison.
Tank read again. I clearly wrote the gtx was released three years ago. And if you believe it is more powerful name the games it runs at 4k/60. There is an increasing list the X runs at that resolution. Name even the 4k/30 games on 980s. DF found the X to be slightly above a 1070 on Forza. And well above a 980.
People saying choose PC because it last longer obviously don't own a gaming PC. If they did they would know a gtx 980 released three years ago this month can't do 4k/60 and won't compete with Xbox one X. So if you paid $600 for that card at launch you will be behind a console in two months. It would cost you over $500 just to keep up and that is GPU only. In three years there will be new consoles that make the $500 you spend on a GPU outdated. PC has genres rarely found on console...
Sub name all of the PS4 exclusives you own. Go.
They should use a person who favors the genre they are reviewing. I want someone who is a huge fan of platformers reviewing platformers. As long as they are a fan and are objective it will come through in the article. Someone failing in their play through most likely isn't enjoying themselves which most likely leads to a poor and unfair review.
Does Sony pay all these people to say exclusives all day or are these just the biggest sheep on the planet. Apparently only four exclusives are important since the other six of ten lose money. So god of war, gt, last of us and something else are important. The rest aren't according to PlayStation owners.
Pantz new electronics usually launch February through March so the wait wouldn't be long.
Bungie is beginning to come off a little childish. It's time to put their differences with Microsoft aside and put their customers interest first. I know I wouldn't buy a game if the purposely hold it back because of a grudge. If it is because of being paid they need to come clean on that.
All of a sudden there is faith in Pachter. There is no greater proof of how needy some people are.
Do you really believe anyone will come out and say it. AMD looked into code and found examples of where gameworks purposely hurts the architecture of their cards. No developers came out and said it. They had to run the code and find it. There is an old Maximum PC podcast where an AMD executive directly accuses NVIDIA and explains what they did and why. Intel has long been rumored to pay off vendors to not push AMD. Business is a cesspool. Big business is. We know in the past there have been d...
It's common sense really. If you want better out of the X version simply use the PC assets you already made. If you have a 4k PC version it is easier to port that to X and simply optimize. If you go through the expense of making a console specific X version with no real difference from the PC version then you did that for a reason. PC and Xbox use the same OS, why would you not use the same code? The Xbox One OS currently runs three different architectures, AMD, IBM and Intel. There is no...
They don't have to keep telling us X will have higher settings. We know any competent developer or who isn't being paid for parity will make the X version much better. It got old quick when it was the other way around and has gotten old in this current situation.
If that's where you are technologically get a console.
One X is above the current PC average on Steam. Which is a good barometer for PC gaming. So if games fit PC they are fine on X and Pro too.

I am starting to believe what we're seeing is marketing psychological warfare. The articles from one unheard of site after another. Or the same sites that we here from again and again with a clear agenda. Sometimes they mimic a theme from a comment thread on another article. You see it in politics all the time.
Watch for a certain phrase to be posted on a thread. Then suddenly see ten articles addressing that same issue after the comment. Like...
I read fine. And I can actually comprehend. You and the clown that agreed with you don't understand sarcasm and lack appreciation for the way I called sheep on their hypocritical views on what is exclusive and their importance to consoles.
