The word is out that gamers are a easy mark. Everyone is running to get some hit money. People should have realized that when forbes started their bs articles. But they only criticized Microsoft so it was missed.
The only thing that goes to MS is the royalty fee. On digital copies there may be a fee for storing the games and delivering them, but I would bet that is a small fee. And I don't see why they would drop the royalty. If they did that what would be the point of making a console at all. Just wait for someone else to make one and become a developer.

Kleptic MS and Sony have the exact same DRM policy for used games. Both have said they will leave it up to the publishers. The only difference is that Sony won't just admit that. MS has designated retailers, but any publisher wanting their game blocked will have to block it completely or have specific retailers the game has to be taken to so that the developer can get a cut. Couple of brilliant observations. The funny thing about those countries that don't have much broadband also have major problems providing electricity. So unless Sony has some magic power source, and I know you believe they do, the PS4 will have issues there also.
Funny thing is that many of those country have smartphone service. And since that can be used to check in, Sony doesn't necessarily have any advantage.

Almost all is not all so one can assume the better ones are not. I will say it wasn't known that the would have 4 more gigs of RAM. But they know that now and they still say 60fps is a target, not a guarantee. If PS4 is soooo powerful, they should be saying games will be. MS is showing 1080p 60fps games. You can claim that they are not running on One hardware, but the same can be said for Sony games.

Sony is going to do what publishers tell them to do. This is going to come back to bite them in the a--. They keep muddying the waters and naive people buy into it. But once they add that first piece of DRM people will be shocked. Activision will most likely be the first. And then the floodgates will open.
