I agree. I would have thought everyone would have at least guessed that DLC would come, i can't think of many games, especially first person shooters, that don't offer some form of DLC.

It will be good to see what is done in Home regarding Killzone 2. I guess there will be clothing (which i believe is already accessable in the American Home?) along with the Killzone 2 room, possibly some Killzone related arcade machines in their and other bits. Should be good

@ Bladestar

You say...

""Alan Wake"? are you kidding? Alan Wake was announced years after Sony announced Kill Zone 2. And when it does come out it will sell very well like other xbox 360 games... unlike every Hyped game on the PS3 that fells short to the hype in terms of sales."

Funny, as a gamer who comes across a little too interested in the Xbox 360 (married it yet?), i thought you would have known that Alan Wake was actually...

Sorry, i should have been abit clearer un my statement.

I meant in terms of the format of choice. DD has been around for a while now, the only problem is that its not upto a good enough standard for a high percentage of people to consider it a replacement of anything that may be disc based, whether its DVD or Blu-ray. Again, it may benefit some now, with those who have lightning fast broadband connections with no download limits and who aren't that fussed about the whole 'ow...

Who?

'Does Research'

'Finds out they offer to the US only'

Well, that helps the billions of others across the globe, doesnt it?
As i said about DD, until a service such as these are feasable globally, then a disc based media for owning content is always going to be the number one choice. I have Sky+ HD here in the UK, and while the HD quality is very good, its still not near what Blu-ray or HD-DVD offered, both in visuals and in sound.

Could be much worse, they could continue to cut the price every couple of months in order to sell ahead of competition thats double its price, offer a backhander (aka 3 year warranty) to keep everyone quiet about its dodgy hardware, be too busy buying out exclusive downloadable content that it has to shut major studios (Ensemble says hello) and, as the gentleman above me kindly points out, does the same things Sony are guilty for in advertising games that are still far from completion aka Ala...

DD will not happen for a long, long time. Til the internet 'globally' is upto a standard that can accept movies being downloaded or streamed in a quality to match blu-ray, then maybe, but given the issues surrounding how i own something i've downloaded compared to buying a physical product, i imagine many will stick to a disc based media, with DD supported that by a small percentage

Some games that use it, use it very well, like, as others have said, Killzone 2 when sniping and LittleBigPlanet for quirky laughs.

I do find it a little useless though, and abit of a waste of time. However, its in there, and if used correctly, i'd be more than happy to use it.

Its nothing like the Wii's before that thing kicks off again. The whole idea of the Wii is motion control, whereas the Sixaxis is mainly there to complement any game that uses a feature ...

...as much as i dislike the Wii, everyone ignores it like it does not exist. And i agree with you myself, the 360 should be closer to the Wii and not closer to the PS3 in its sales. Given its price point, its catalogue of games, its online functionality and the name behind it (some people here who say Sony have the 'brand loyalty' must think that Microsoft is a small name in the world of business and electronics all of a sudden) you would seriously think that it wouldnt just be pushing way ...

I'd quite like Sony to release a PsP2 in 2010. I like the PSP, i think its great for what it does, which is basically abit of everything, much like the PS3 in those aspects.

I wasnt a fan of UMD to be fair though, and i think Sony know now that UMD wasnt a great idea, at least from a movie perspective. I still think it could have succeeded (to a certain degree) if they had have pumped more support into it.

The PSP 2 doesnt have to be much different from what th...

I'm sorry, but i fail to see any company who enters a certain sector 'as a hobby', that'd be extremely bad business as far as i'm concerned, and i certainly hope you don't become a managing director of an important company.

Microsoft entered the video games market because it saw an opportunity to make money, just in the same way Sony did all those years ago and other companies of years gone by. With the Red Ring of Death costing the company upwards of $...

...but i'm not a huge fan on how it looks. It could work great, but i dunno, i'm in two minds about it it to be honest. As others have said, i'd probably have to hear more user reviews on it before getting it or doing without.

Good to see, i like Blu-ray movies, particularly since i have a pretty decent entertainment set-up to take advantage of what Blu-ray brings.

The only people who would genuinly want download as the future of movies are th lazy ones in my opinion. For me, there is nothing better than going out to a store like HMV and picking up a couple of movies and actually owning them. Much rather have a physical copy of a movie than a digital one anyday

...aren't Microsoft currently poised to let 15,000 people go and have been constantly restructuring their business? Yet i dont see many news articles on here, and when anyone mentions this, we get the fans of MS ansd Microsoft saying 'well they're more of a software company' like that makes it ok. Last time i checked, Sony had its hand in quite a few other things too.

Face facts people, this is happening everywhere. Whether it be Microsoft, Sony, even at the company i work f...

"Articles like this deceive because they fail to mention that The Matrix sold to 100% of DVD owners at the time. Dark Knight is by far the most successful Blu-ray and it hasn't sold to even 10%. When you add the PS3 into the mix, Blu-ray's "Trojan Horse", it's really not that impressive."

Hang on a second...so, by your logic, there were only 780,000 DVD players owned by people across the globe, and that every single one of them purchased The Matrix? I know ...

It really depends what they mean by adult. I already knew alot of you guys would get a semi-on at the expectation of a computer generated woman giving out hand-jobs, but something tells me this isnt what it means.

I personally think Sony would be wise to include things like a Gambling/Betting area, specific areas for 12,15,18+ rated movies and trailers etc. It would increase its usage to a degree, and raise its profile that bit more. The only problem would be policing the wh...

...although saying that, Vista isnt actually that bad, at least from a concept point of view. Its main problem is that its just a memory drain completely. I much prefer XP and then just changing the graphical interface to something similar to that of Vista.

Hopefully MS can come up with something better. With the amount of people and knowledge they have on this sector, they really should have a product worht shouting about

Regardless of what name is on the console, this kind of thing shouldnt be happening, infact, we shouldnt need to pay to play online. Surely, paying a monthly fee already to an internet provider is enough? Not to mention, we're paying more for our games than in previous years, consoles are still expensive, and alot of PC online gaming, bar MMO's, are fee-free.

I find it rather funny that so many people will bend over and take anything up the rear from their preferred choice of...

Both sets are good, as they help give a game an extra few hours, and anything to increase the amount of time you play a good game is always worth it.

I prefer the trophy structure, but in truth they arent much more than a virtual penis, when it comes down to it. Great at extending the life of a game, yes, but thats about it really.

What they should do with trophies, and achievements, is allow you to unlock hidden stuff in other games, or in the PS3's case, Plays...

Nope, Sonys future doesnt depend on LittleBigPlanet, as it seems to be doing just fine at the moment. Its future relies on having a good product with a good catalogue to back it, which it has, with the potential to be a viable product over a number of years, which it has the potential to do, all wrapped up at a good price, which its ever so slightly off at the moment.

LittleBigPlanet will just be one big game amongst many on the PS3, and will obviously help broaden the appeal ...
