Because Gears 1 & 2 were had lots of variation didnt they?

What else do you expect though? Ice scenes? Pink buildings? Please, why don't you quit being the d1ck of a fanboy and tell the whole world how you and your knowledge of making a computer game and giving it the correct atmosphere, could do a better job than this?
Didnt the PS3 version of Mirrors Edge receive exclusive content? Or what about a game like PES 2009 which received PS3 exclusive features? Does that mean the Playstation 3 is doomed?
The whole gaming industry, certainly from a 'media' perspective, is completely messed up at the moment
....maybe it was just a mistake by the guy, no need for everybody to go over the top in thinking "OMG PS3 Fanboi"
Just shows that alot of people are really over-protective about their choice of console.
Yeah..because the Playstation and Playstation 2 were really bad for the gaming industry [/sarcasm]
Some people really need to get an education before they begin typing on the internet
Nice to see good ol' Bruce is continuing with his rather obsessive 'Sony is doomed/losing' articles. Been a little while since he ran something rather negative.
I won't even begin giving you the actual history on this guy, its not worth the time to write up, but i'd rather listen to what Bill Gates has to say about Sony than this guy. I feel ashamed to have worked for the same company as him to be perfectly honest. The guy has very little credibility, and thats just from my ...
...but you have to take it into context. Microsoft is a huge company, and a drop in profits like this is slightly worrying. If Microsoft wasn't worried about the financial market or future profits, it wouldn't be axing 5,000 people from its company
"Really Blademask.....
Like how Quantum Theory is a blatant rip-off of Gears of War? "
Or how Gears of War was basically Killswitch but set somewhere different?
As for Kodu, its an interesting concept. Whether it'll take off on the 360 remains to be seen. Alot depends on who its aimed at and how they do it, along with just how easy it is to create. LittleBigPlanets appeal was that, while robust in what you could do, it was extremely ea...
As others have stated, Sony are in an extremely good position in where they don't need one stand out character or game in order to pull in the crowds. What they do have are some extremely popluar games that appeal to different types of people. For every person who cannot wait for Killzone 2, there will be one who is dying for God of War 3. And while it doesnt have such a big name as Mario, it has tons of smaller but still largely known characters, whether it be Sackboy, Ratchet, Kratos and...
"Why would you assume it wouldnt sale on Wii but would on PS3? Did most of Wii's games bomb last year? No that was PS3.."
Hmmm..i seem to spot a trend here. All the time mentioning the PS3 and its fans, but not the 360?
Shall i go on to tell you how bad the software library the Wii is? Shall i tell you how a console that has double the install base of the other two managed to sell more software? Or shall i point out how many of the hundreds of games ...
"I could say that AAA multi-platform games always sell better on 360 than PS3. Developers will not ignore that. MS has the advantage of multi-platform titles being 360 system sellers, while Sony doesn't."
While i agree (kinda) i could also switch it and say that while multiplatform titles tend to sell more on the 360 (which should be rather obvious given the larger install base) i could also turn and point to the many companies that are actually making more money from the...
I wouldnt say the Wii was that much of a risk to be honest. Creating a low budget console, which made a profit per console from day one, and having its control scheme work on movement and showing it by bundling Wii Sports with the console was just exremely clever, as it automatically appealed to kids. Add to the fact Nintendo is a very large name in the video game industry, that the console was far cheaper the its competitors and that it really had nothing to lose after the Gamecube, then i...

"killzone delivers considering its garnered a few 9s already is a silly thing to say, killzone has DELIVERED "
Every review has been from inside-Sony writers. Haze **also** tried to pull the same thing, pump the early reviews for comments just like yours.
Dont be a sucker. "
Ah, you mean the Haze in which the 'Official Playstation Magazine' gave it a score of 6?
Yeah, they're guilty of...
I always worry when people decide to do Film version of computer games. I was highly annoyed with the job that was done on the Resident Evil films.
Lost Planet was a good game, not great, but enjoyable. Hopefully this will be one game to movie conversion that will go reasonably well
...given your name, thats a pretty crap statement you just made, partly because a) you label them automatically as PS3 fans (which they may or may not be, but that statement just highlights where your loyalty is based) b) you assume they do not own a Wii and c) you claim they are talking BS.
As a Wii owner, i can vouch for what they say and pretty much agree with them. Wii may be selling like crazy, but the games are terrible. 95% shovelware with the odd Mario and Zelda game ...
While i agree that the DS has a vast library of games, i'd hardly call Catz, Dogz, Scrabble, the whole 'Imagine' series, the needless amount of brain training games, health 'games etc etc an impressive library im not saying there aren't quality games on the DS, because there are some real gems, but it does contain a truck load of crap.
I do not know why people are disagreeing with the original statement made. We all know that technology moves fast, and will DVD9 really be enough in, say, 2 years time, when developers are wanting to push further with content and what it can do with the console? I dont think it will. Yes, multidisc games can be used, and i have no problem in that, but we are already hearing complaints from certain developers about the limitations it brings.
And as for the PS2 comment, DVD w...
"You forget that Microsoft is one of the best marketing companies in the world. They could easily make a much more powerful system than the PS3 and have it cost $100 less. They know their tech, quite well.
"
I wouldn't say they know their technology that well, given the history of the Zune and Xbox 360 in terms of technical problems. Microsoft are more of a software/networking company than a hardware. I do agree theat they are extremely successful at marketi...
....but i tend to think that while Microsoft would like to see more marketshare when it comes to the Xbox 360, they also see potential for huge profits given that Live and peripherals would probably make up alot of where Microsoft make their money, so they'd near enough make any money lost through price cuts back again through these extras.
Just shows you though, not one company globally can say that they are in an extremely good position.
3 year warranty or not, the build of the Xbox 360 is bloody terrible to be perfectly honest. The only reason you and i have a 3 year warranty is because Microsoft feared the amount of lawsuits and possible recall, which would have been far more damaging to the company than issuing a 3 year warranty. And lets face it, if it was superbly built, it wouldn't need a 3 year warranty or countless repairs, would it?
...you really are
