It was like the SH of last gen.
While many people would say the horror genre has died this gen (which I sort of agree, not totally though) I think we've still had a healthy lineup of horror titles;
Dead Space 1-2 (Action Horror)
Bioshock 1-2 (Action Horror)
Corpse Party (Survival Horror)
Condemned 1-2 (Survial Horror)
Siren: Blood Curse (Survial Horror)
Silent Hill: HomeComing (Survival Horror)
Silent Hill:...
From what I understand it's a collebaration between the 2. It should be really interesting to see though. The Chinease Room are developers that are really keen on games with excellent narratives and atmosphere. could mix very well with a horror game like amnesia.
@TheSuperior
No they weren't. Did they do some unique things? Sure, the narrative in terms of gangs and stuff is interesting...but the narrative was always shitty.
The only thing I don't like is the lack of customization options in saints row 3.... The Superior I'm sort of puzzled as to what you miss so much from the previous games? I brushed through the narratives for both games...again the narratives where interesting for one time but that's...
left what behind. No offense, but the first 2 games were nothing more than gta inspired rip offs. Nothing did Saints Row do that other open world games like gta and true crime hadn't done better.
With Saints Row 3 they found there niche. GTA has seemingly abandoned that silly, do anything that you want sandbox approach, and it's truly refreshing to see Saints Row 3 capture that back.
Slapping people with dildos, driving 100mph on a hoverbike, jumping out ...
Someone didn't bother reading the site, and I quote (from the job listing), "Kojima Productions will be returning to the GDC Career Pavilion (March 6th - 9th) to search for skillful engineers, artists, and game creators including:
Project engineers for the latest Metal Gear Solid targeted for high-end consoles and PC
Engineers to help develop next-gen game engine technology for use with the "FOX Engine.

It's crap in YOUR OPINION. Because there's a great deal of people that think the mp is kickass..you just sound like one of those "Multiplayer ruins the singleplayer type of people"..
so you played it and finished it eh?
Nice score, can't wait!
The Dear Esther devs are pretty good though..imo. There people who take interesting risks that not many devs let alone indie devs would take. If Dear Esther is anything to go by, then I have no fear for Amnesia sequel.
Did you even bother to read the review, or did you simply see the review score and say, "pass!". Seriously, this games seems it will be awesome for people who like games that are more cinematic and interactive (like heavy rain, indgo prophcey, point and click games as well).
It might not be your cup of tea but to simply proclaim it as bargain bin meterial is a bit insulting. This isn't a generic fps #2022. This is a game that obviously tries something different and...
Agree, sounds like the article writer is trolling. This game being DRM free to backers is a big thing, and I know of handful of people who would back this game JUST FOR THAT FACT alone.
I suggest a title edit if anything...
But regarding the update; I'm sure excited and really glad this game has expanded into a small thing into something a bit bigger. Hopefully by the end of this we'll see this come to xbla and psn as well.
But yeah, guys...
I don't think it would work for all games. For big AAA titles, hell no. EA paid 40 million dollars alone is marketing/advertisting for Battlefield 3. Plus 30-40 million to develop the game..Kickstarter wouldn't even scratch the surface for those type of projects..
Though for midtier games will a budget of 10million+ could POTENTIALLY be feasiable. Again it wouldn't fund the whole project (nor it should considering the projects name is KICK STARTER, not KICK my ent...
first things first..HE ASKED FOR 400K, not 1,400,000...
Secondly, Double Fine has been a respected company for years, and there titles speak more than words for the quality that Double Fine, Ron Gilbert, and Tim Schafer have.
It's a team we can trust, with people we can trust. There's fewer people other than them I would want to give my money to.
The original Mafia 1 team, really interested to see what they come up with.
80K and not even a hour in. This will take 3-4 days tops. Tim, do this for Psychonauts 2 if the deal falls out with Notch.
57,000 and just 30 minutes in. Holy crap. Gamers we must unite. Let big developers and small developers alike see this and allow the gaming community to fund games that are to bizzare and unique for publishers?
Think about it? If sega did a kickstart for Shemue 3, there'd be enough donations by the end of the week.
Gamers here's your chance to echo your voice!
I really hope they'll release that zombie move game Until Dawn....it looked really interesting in the GDC trailer pics.
Sign me the fuck up!
People are listing all there big games of 2012. This sequel should be at the top of the list. Fucking excite.
