That's just what everyone says about Nintendo even though they have the oldest fanbase. The Switch isn't marketed to kids and doesn't have what I would call kid friendly hardware.
Both of the follow ups to the two highest selling consoles of all time did much worse than the predecessor. The PS3 sold 50 million consoles less than the PS2.
It doesn't matter since the Switch has only been out since March.
The Switch is a success though...
Indies are the replacements for the mid-tier games that we used to get before so many companies went under because of the increased cost of game development during the 7th gen.
The ps4 needs the hard drive, the switch doesn't need the microsd card. When you buy games on the ps4 all of them take up space, even the physical ones. All but one physical switch game don't take up any space on the console except for a small save file.
The console doesn't need to install all it's games so the HDD wouldn't be needed and you don't want to move a hdd around while it's in use.
Also in 3 years the high capacity cartridges the switch uses will most likely be cheaper for devs to order and we won't need to install anything for any games (except patches).
In a year or two imagine how much cheaper the 128GB cards will be. It'll be more cost effective to get a couple of those instead.
If you buy it physically it only takes up a few MB of data for a save file.
The dock has a USB 3.0 port on it that isn't activated yet. I think they might do that later on.
It's better to go with inexpensive 128GB cards. If your card breaks it wouldn't be expensive to replace.
Why would anyone want another one of the same shit every other company is doing? The success of the Switch shows that Nintendo made the right choice with the console.
The reason the Switch doesn't come with that is because you don't have to install 99% of the physical games coming to the system. The reason why the PS4/Xbox come with 500GB HDD's is because they need to have them. The only game that requires an install to play right now it NBA 2k. If you get a $40 128GB microSD you'd be good for a long time. I'd say wait for black friday if you don't need it now, it should cost around $20 - $30 around that time.
True. That's like footlocker coming out and saying they're failing because they ran out of Jordan sneakers. They gave no real incentive to consumers to buy from them, so now everyone gets there games from Amazon and BestBuy.
There is no 4k revolution. The thing that slowing down the 4k revolution is that consumers don't care about 4k right now. Most channels don't stream their content in 4k and the move from 1080p to 4k isn't significant enough for people to make the jump. Also streaming in 4k uses a fuck load of bandwidth and cable companies are not trying to spend that much money to stream their shows. Most cable companies still stream in 1080i.
The creator of Pokemon said it's a main series core Pokemon rpg.
That's one of the problems with using the newest architecture on your console. Especially when that architecture is basically the standard in mobile devices. They have to compete with companies that spend more money per year than Nintendo is worth. Some large corporations are also switching their servers to the same chips because they have a smaller foot print and cost less. The good thing is that they are still on track to do around 10 million but I doubt they would be able to make the r...
It's because of a bunch of companies, which includes apple, samsung and others.
You do know that handhelds are consoles. The Switch, Vita, and 3ds are all consoles.
