I doubt Nintendo would make games that won't be playable on the Switch Lite. If they did that then those games will most likely not be playable on the original switch since they are basically the same thing. Right now every switch game is playable on the Switch lite and only one game would require a joycon purchase and that game is 1-2 switch.
I think they didn't want to confuse anyone since it's part of the same product line and will be playing the same exact games.

There's no way Nintendo was going to change the name of this device. It's a version of the Switch even though it doesn't have one of the features that goes with the switch name. If they did change the name that would be a dumb move. The switch lite isn't compatible with TV play so if you buy a dock and you don't have the original switch you'll be spending money for no reason. The switch lite is for the handheld only gaming crowd that ...
$200
From what I understand there are motion controls in the Switch lite, but no IR blaster. It will most likely have rumble too, but no HD rumble.
How is a handheld only version of the Switch a gimmick?
Now would be the perfect time for that.
It's a handheld only version of the switch what's so confusing about that? If you want the ability to dock it buy the regular switch. This is a device that targets 3DS and Vita owners. Everything doesn't have to be for everyone.
That would be amazing
Smash sold 4 million units a week in its first 3 weeks of sales. That's crazy. It's probably closing in on 20 million units buy now.
If you look back she was getting lit up by Bethe Correia before she got the knockout. If Bethe had any power in her hands she would've gave Ronda serious trouble.
Does Ronda's character quit the game after getting ko'd twice in a row?
I'd rather them make the 1080p screen and bigger battery than obese the internal storage. Increasing the internal storage will Jack the price up. It's cheaper to get a micro SD card.
Make a joycon set with a d-pad.
I don't think they will, but they'll get close. Maybe they will with the numbers Smash and Pokemon are doing right now.
The switch needed to be the same exact thing as the other two consoles? Ok.
^ He's right.
What about the x and the pro are those still considered to be 8th gen even though they're basically completely new consoles with new hardware? I don't think we're going to be able to define consoles by generation anymore since all three console makers released a new console in the middle of the 8th gen.
I think it's because epic's making money off of it and the game has reached the mainstream, so it's noticable.
It's a portable version for younger kids and handheld only players. It's also more durable. They aren't robbing anyone of anything since the price point is cheaper and they made it clear what features were taken out to make it a cheaper handheld only version. I guess this is for people that never intend to dock the switch and want a cheaper upgrade to their 3DS.
