I completely disagree toward the end. Now, I'm a person that prefers narrative driven games and I can stomach some of the worst gameplay provided a story is engaging and well written, but to say that a poorly told story isn't enough? No, not every single game needs a complex and well told story. It really depends on the game whether or not the story is that important to the overall experience.

It's not just the more fluid and refined gameplay. The horde mode 2.0 was a great addition to the original somewhat barebones horde and Gears of War 2 was one of the most unbalanced multiplayer shooters my friends and I have ever experienced. It just devolved into a shotgun fest and no one ever used real tactics or experimented with real weapons. I thought the original Gears was mediocre. I liked Gears of War 2 more and then Gears of War 3 was fantastic. One of the few trilogies in gaming that got better with each subsequent release

And to the other guy, okay 1080p 60fps doesn't mean much if the games aren't technically demanding. Any wiiu game that runs at 720p60fps or 1080p60fps can EASILY be done on the ps4 and Xbox one because they're much more powerful systems. 1080p poop is still just poop.

I'll get hate, but I think Golden Abyss was a disgrace to the series
After not playing a call of duty game since Black Ops, hoping this would be the one very good entry in the franchise, I was extremely disappointed. I platinumed it in 2 days and will very rarely touch the multiplayer again unless I'm in one of those moods where I have nothing to play.

Not necessarily. There were many hd collections of ps2/Xbox games released last gen years into the consoles' life cycle and those were typically just a resolution boost as opposed to full fledged remasters with actual higher quality assets like what we have this gen, so they certainly have their place

720p is not a high enough resolution to be able to fully show all of the detail Halo 5 will likely have. Last gen, 720p was fine for the level of drAw distance, character models, and texture quality the consoles were pushing. Games for non-gamers? I love all the original sonic games for the sega genesis. They are excellent purely gameplay-centric games, but I also love interactive experiences like Heavy Rain and I'm looking forward to Until Dawn.
