I hate when people have this sort of attitude of "screw cutscene and story. I just want gameplay. There's too many cutscenes in games nowadays. Why not just be a movie?".
That sort of attitude doesn't seem to be very conducive to gaming at all. The beauty of video games is that there is literally something out there for EVERYONE. The variety of experiences you can get from a video game trumps the variety you get from movies, tv, and books.

But then so did the first 2 Valkyria Chronicles and we never got the 3rd
The graphics are fine for vita, but they're crappy for a ps4 game(which is to be expected from a port). It is what it is.
And a lot of crappy triple A games rip off other triple A games and aren't as good. Your point?
People that completely dismiss indie games are just narrow minded and refuse to open their minds to different kinds of experiences.
Both seasons of the walking dead on ps4 for a total of $12.50? Goddamn
Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare and Metro Redux are both locked 60 fps on PS4 AND at native 1080p
God forbid I can get a better version of a game I never played or of a game that I love enough to buy twice and support the publisher/developer and IP
I'm not understanding the disagrees. Uncharted 3 didn't live up to the standards of Uncharted 2...
Edit: Dear lord. Don't tell me people actually think Uncharted 3 was better than 2.
*cough* Uncharted 3
Well guess what? I adored the stealth, so no thank you.
The ending to The Last of Us was the most perfect ending you could have for that story and those characters. It was an emotionally resonating moment that gave me goosebumps when I first played it.
Ummmm, did I even play it? All the screenshots in that article were shots I took myself in the game's photo mode. I played it 3 times on ps3 and 6 on ps4, I have played plenty of it. SOME elements look very very good. The main character models look excellent and a few of the environments do honestly look amazing, but in many cases I could still notice the ps3 origins. There are very dull and bland textures in many areas. I look at The Last of Us Remastered and think for the most it's ...
Prior to its release and upon release, I feel as though journalists and whatnot grossly over exaggerated how good The Last of Us Remastered looks, but in instances it certainly does hold its own against other current gen games.
The amount of contempt is ridiculous.
1-Tomb Raider was not just a PC port.
2-They redid Lara's face and she looks much more human and natural and much closer to the way she looks in the opening cg intro of the game
3-the console definitive edition used an updated tressfx 2.0 for Lara's hair, which meant that the hair didn't behave quite as unrealistically and flip flop all over the place for no reason. The original Pc hair almos...
Is this coming to North America.
It doesn't look "great" on the ps4. It just looks like a vita game running at a higher resolution. Which is what this is. Whoever wrote the headline and thinks it looks "great" on ps4 needs their eyes examined.
I don't get it. How do you get the free trial
They were 720p last gen...the cinematics, at least in the first game were the only thing that ran at 1080p uncompressed on the ps3 thanks to the extra space afforded by the blu-ray disk. And even if they were 1080p, that doesn't mean they can't be superior. These remasters do more than just increase resolution. They actually improve assets and models. Maybe not to the degree of current gen games, but they do actually have higher quality assets which do more for the visual makeup of th...
Alien Isolation was not visually stunning. I wouldn't go so far as to say that it's a bad looking game. It's pretty average and some elements do look quite awful. I remember one area in particular where I looked outside a window and could see a gigantic mass that looked like the rest of the space station you spend your time on. It was fairly close to the window and the textures were honestly mediocre ps2 era textures and even some elements looked completely 2 dimensional. That'...
