@cgoodno,
"Then make a system that's better and more open to the Indie developers they want. To force them to sign away their rights or not publish there at all isn't encouraging, it's trapping."
Most of the time it has nothing to do with what system is more open and almost always to do with money. Microsoft was famous last generation for going after these timed exclusive deals. It's money exchanging hands or some form of benefit to the devel...
4 games and 4 expansions over a 10 year term.
You will know it's too late when third party publishers start to pull back support like what has happened with the WiiU. I say give it until at least after the winter holidays before we over-analyze things.
This has been an ongoing issue with PSN for years whenever there is a heavy load. That's why Sony is charging on the Ps4 and will use that money to invest into making the service better.
Regardless, until you actually use these tools on the XB1 and PC it is hard to estimate what the real benefits are. Heck, even they don't know what the PS4 is capable of until years later. We've seen what they did on the PS3 from game to game and that was the system they worked on. You're always learning new tricks and ways to optimize the hardware and these guys are not working with DX12 as far as I know.
Well if they want to provide value don't put any of the games on Playstation Now. Morpheaus will have to be sub-$200 to become mainstream enough for support. Trouble is that means it may not be as good as Oculus Rift.
Nobody is denying the PS4 is more capable of the XB1. That isn't the argument because even the PS4 does not have every game at 1080p and you cannot put all the blame on the devs for not hitting that mark. Even Killzone Shadowfall is not true 1080p for its multiplayer.

Knack also suffers from frame rate ...
Does this mean Naughty Dog will be making games on the PC now? If not I'm not so sure why they would bother to comment.
None of the consoles have 100% of the games at 1080p either and the only people who think frame rates don't matter are those who prefer consoles over PC's.
NextLevel,
"So it's wrong to bring up what some said before? I wasn't aware of this.
So Medhi can say whatever he want to save his job, but I can't say what he said before on a gaming forum? Strange."
The question wasn't if, it was why. Medhi gets paid by Microsoft. It isn't out of the ordinary to speak double talk and to be as positive as possible about the product you are trying to sell. Are you telling us Sony is payin...
One of the XB1 biggest critics is usually the quickest to respond to XB1 articles. Now that's a match made in heaven.
Does anyone else find it disturbing that those who seem to dislike the system the most are often the same people who talk about it the most? He (or she) also joined just 6 days ago and has already reached the status of 6 conversation bubbles. So obviously there is some reward to behaving this way. My props go out to you.
Anyways what else ...
We all know the diehards will carry a system for awhile no matter how lean the games are or how slow the system gets updated.
Let's face it, most of the discussions on the forums have been about frame rate and resolution disparities between the two systems (while the PC continues to trump them) and when people talk about the games they are usually games not even out yet. That is a sure sign telling everyone else there isn't much reason to run to the store immediately ...
Nintendo had the better conference for many reasons. No awkward moments, no filler with non-gaming stuff but most of all they focused on what is only coming to Nintendo platforms. Isn't that what a company is supposed to represent, what is exclusive to their platforms? Most of what Sony and MS showed was coming from studios working on both systems and the only thing setting them apart was all this timed exclusive stuff.
Spotie,
you have one conversation bubble so don't even go there with accusations about peoples posting history. All of this feedback is being directed at Sony one way or another and the more feedback out there means the quicker Sony will want to fix it. That's the whole purpose, to make it better. We all want that, which is why I am here. There is a difference between telling everyone the service has no hope and pointing out real issues. Learn the difference.
...
Microsoft doesn't want to get sloppy seconds. They know timed exclusive deals could hinder sales. We also know games are starting to come out later like Outlast and New and Tasty. Seems like those Xbox 360 policies are not as firm for the XBox One.
Another game called No Man's Sky is getting console exclusivity on the PS4. Which we all know will eventually come to the XB1. One can also say these timed exclusive deals are scummy which MS is famous for doing as well. <...
I'm not sure if allowing Nintendo to choose for us on everything is the best thing to do. Otherwise you're just targeting the same demographic all the time. They just have to not be lenient on those who do abuse the system. I get where they are coming from but it almost sounds like the same attitude China takes with not allowing Facebook.
Great. Awesome logic there. Might as well scrap it in all games on any platform just because you don't like using it. Giving people options is now a bad thing. If you mute everyone why wear a headset in the first place? That's the beauty of it, you don't have to wear a headset. Now please go tell Nintendo this.
What exactly are they being cautious about? Nintendo continues to baffle all logic. They create party games and are the most supportive of local multiplayer. Yet in their wisdom it's best if we don't talk to each other, even when were in the same room sharing the same screen.
I didn't realize beta testers had to pay for access. So why wouldn't they complain publicly about the prices of the games then? If they also have to pay for the content then again they have every right to be public about the lag.
Most beta's are free because those testers know they are going to be using an unfinished product. Therefore they have no right to complain. If Sony is charging for the content on this 'beta' then is it really a beta like you sugge...
Japan is still an important region for videogame output. Even if the XB1 fails like the previous XBox systems have, getting developers is great for those who own the system as many of the games are likely to be released outside of Japan. The XB1 also adds another platform for indie developers and the development kits are free.
