I think what many would call a AAA game that's coming next is likely Destiny. I don't consider Madden to be AAA.

Glad they took the extra time. Looks amazing. Let's hope they market the game well.

That Wiki link talks about the evolution of AAA and ended on this note,

"As the years progressed and during the new millennium, many publishers started to consider their games to be AAA even before their release, and justified this decision through huge development and marketing budgets."

The AAA status started before the new millennium but you're right, that new way of marketing is true which I talked about. Many games have sold over 1 million ...

Not surprised if this comes to the PS4. I imagine it was a fairly expensive game to make, don't know how well it sold on the PS3, it can fill some holes in the PS4 line-up as many wait for big AAA games, lots of new Playstation fans who never owned a PS3 can now try it.

DragonKnight,
"People spent so much time whining about pointless mp3 playback and DLNA support for a gaming console so Sony's trying to work on bringing that sometime soon (hopefully) and now people want an immediate solution to this?"

What is this, damage control? Also to tell us we want an immediate solution is just hyperbole. The PS4 started being created years ago and it's been 9 months since it came out. They managed to get the music store out. ...

Not knocking Naughty Dog but it seems to be the common theme now to just show trailers or clips without actual gameplay. It's what we saw of a lot at E3. Even Uncharted showed a clip that was rendered on the hardware but not actual gameplay. It wasn't just Sony's show but also Microsoft's E3 as well. I want to see people playing the game on the hardware.

According to NewMonday the PS4 is going to be holding back the PC version. Oh wait, he somehow thinks the XB1 is at fault here even though the COD Advanced Warfare is also coming to the PS3 and XB360.

Wow, some Sony fans love to read way to much into things because they hate Microsoft. Did the XB1 have the same resolution as the PS4 in last years game? No, so why would they hold back because of the XB1 now? If anything they know the XB1 system much more so if it becomes close...

The answer is easy, Plus isn't a free service so in theory those games and perks are not free. The only thing I can complain about are the selection of games they offer. They are mostly either older titles or games we wouldn't really buy. Sometimes you get those that don't fit that category like Resogun. Even then I still think Plus offers great value.

The show was about the randomness of free games on Plus and whether to hold out or not to wait for the game to be free.

This is one of the side effects of Plus, now consumers are wary to buy the games or not thinking they will come out for free eventually. I didn't hear anything about the games not being AAA on the Ps4.

After this report and his comments about being confused why people want AAA games may lead to trimming down 1st party games.

I don't think Sony fanboys are any worse or better than any other fanboy. They just seem to be more vocal on the forums.

What NOBODY can argue is that both Sony and MS fanboys make up most of the arguments and trolling on forums since the start of last generation and seems to have gotten worse.

This is very true, you have a contingency of haters that don't want anyone to forget the initial idea of the XB1. For some odd reason they refuse to move on from the subject since it's apparent no matter what MS does they will never support it.

At the end of the day it comes down to the product and what that product offers, nothing more. It's a $400-500 investment, that's it. So if it isn't worth it to them it isn't worth it. However they are adding mo...

The quicker the word gets out on those prices the quicker they will react. As for transferring over, that's a good thing.

The Slim will come when the parts become more efficient so they can make a smaller design, and to add a whole new look to renew interest if sales start to fall. Sony needs to be profitable so if they can make the hardware for cheaper with a new slim model they will.

"I would suggest you don't try to comment on interactions you weren't a part of."

Not gonna happen my friend if you bring it here and be disruptive. After all your the one who replied first and only to this blog, nothing in the authors written commentary said anything personal about you.

"I would also suggest you take your bias and.. well..."

My bias? Bias of what exactly? You sure like to deflect a lot.

Great device but it just hasn't found its market. There are lots of great products that are not runaway success stories. I think the price of the memory cards hurt it bad and Sony started to make the same mistakes they made with the PSP. They made a handheld console system. I think this is where Nintendo has fared better, they have more games made for the mobile market where as Sony wants to tap into a high tech handheld.

"Their public image is directly linked to their corporate mentality. This isn't anything new for MS. They said years ago they wanted to improve public perception of their company. It wasn't until very recently that they changed things up, but their X1 reveal was exactly the kind of thing I'd expect from MS, because they've done it so many times before."

I didn't get that when they unveiled the XBox 360. I think most of the blame has to lie with D...
