Why would it mean nothing just because you say so? Kinect had a reserve that was holding back the cap of the hardware. Now developers can utilize more power. We've already heard from Insomniac about adding even more particles and enemies onscreen.

Took awhile, the PC gaming community will be very pleased.
I'm hoping the Japan gamers finally start to support consoles more now that the PS4 looks to be a huge success. They still make great games but if the install base isn't very big then they start making games aimed more at the Western culture which to me isn't always a good idea. Demon's Souls was one of the best games last generation and this could be a much bigger game for them.
Dragonknight,
They just detached the Kinect which allows them about a 10% upgrade if a developer decides not to use it. The PS4 will not see those gains because they never assigned that handicap to the PS4. It's also worth noting many developers are still trying to figure out what to do with the eSRAM. The PS4 will always have the better specs mind you but these new measures will bring the two closer to parity. Now if only PS fans like yourself and XBox fans would embrace...
How exactly does one get 9 bubbles for sidetracking a topic? Instead he talks about XBox fans, does that mean he's not one of them? If that's the case what led him here? Strange, strange behavior that sounds like he's far more interested in controversy than talking about games.
Anyways it's quite a diversified list which many have called out MS for in the past for not striving for. It really is a good time to be a gamer regardless of which system you prefer.
Funny how headlines just take little snippets out of interviews and try to make them more newsworthy. This is the context if anyone is too lazy to read the whole interview (which I thought was quite honest).
"GC: That was actually may favourite bit of the show, when you took a moment to acknowledge and praise Sony and Nintendo as rivals. If there’s one thing I can’t bear it’s execs bad mouthing the competition. Even the most partisan gamer realises that console manufactu...
Why did you leave out this in the interview?
"GC: But Rare’s speciality used to be that they could do just about anything. So what happens to them now, with Kinect-less Xboxes in the wild?
PS: We’re having conversations right now about what Rare’s gonna do next. I think it’s important that the studio finds something that they’re passionate about, and that’s what I’ve always seen lead to the best success."
Sounds like he's going ...
Hey everyone, I heard a rumor for next years E3. Sony is going to demo the new Uncharted game, Microsoft is going to show off Halo 5, and Nintendo will show more on Zelda.
Wow, look at me. I know everything.
Sounds like damage control if I ever heard it. Yes, let's give Nintendo full control on how we should play games online because clearly we are unable to turn off voice chat ourselves if we don't want to talk to strangers. Plus your whole bandwidth issues related to voice chat is a ridiculous claim since we already play hundreds if not thousands of games online on other platforms with no real issues.
This being news shows how far behind Nintendo still is within the wor...
What exactly blew you away last year compared to this year? I think the games shown this year look way better.
"Art is the expression of the artist, not the audience."
But how true is that statement for a franchise as big as this? At the end of the day it's about money. Did Electronic Arts cave in to the ending of Mass Effect 3 because of the wishes of the artists? No, they felt pressure from the forums and felt they needed to do something because they didn't want a bad stain on the franchise because it too has become a very valuable IP for them. You bet Ubisoft is n...
They did mention it prior to E3 as to give the main focus to games. The article here is explaining after E3 and how the X1 stacks up and gives reasons to now own one. If those reasons are not enough for you that's fine but try and stick with the article.
5. Microsoft showed a bunch of indie games with the trailer ID@XBOX. Many looked very good.
4. Yes the price is cheaper but some still question the pricing based on the performance the PS4 offers for the ...
Of course my opinion is based on what I saw and how it affects my decisions. Nintendo won by the way.
People get on Nintendo's case all the time but I think they really nailed it this year. Seems like MS and Sony are always trying to outdo the other which is why those fans bicker the most.
Nintendo got a solid A
MS got a B-
Sony got a C+
I was gonna say the same thing. Why have a scale of 1-10 if 8 means this,
"Let’s get this out of the way, right here and right now- this was Sony’s worst E3 showing in years. Not only was the presentation style itself awful, the length boring, and the presenters cringe inducing, but a lot of the actual stuff that Sony presented was extremely unimpressive.
The Verdict: A lot of the issues with this showing could have been resolved if Sony had just trimmed...
It's like Sony and Microsoft got reversed. Sony's E3 was bogged down by too much talk and non-gaming stuff and way too much console first talk. Microsoft showed stuff prior to E3 which took a lot of excitement away.
Both relied way too much on 3rd party.
HALO: The Orange Box is the best value I've seen in a long long while.
I have no doubt it will be a beautiful looking game but they showed no actual gameplay. You will also note in the game 1886: The Order how the graphics change from actual gameplay to when the game cuts into a non-controlled scene. All that is also running on PS4 hardware but the actual graphics get scaled back. Still a great looking game mind you.
Yet so far half the people here disagreed with you. Sad.
He should integrate with the community more instead of being so abrasive all the time thinking everyone just pirates everything. YouTube and Twitch can be great channels for getting much needed advertising for indie games.
He's gotten himself caught up thinking he can police everything. His passion should remain on making games, not getting frustrated on things out of your control. Otherwise you just become some depressed dude who looks like they haven't showered in a...
