Complaining about $90 for a webcam and a wireless headset... Hmmmm....
$56 for the wireless XBox headset
$33 for the XBox webcam
Holy crap!! $90! This article is nothing but troll bait and spew.
F*ck the judge, he should be removed from the bench for lashing out on video games for this. From the article
"Ryan Chinnery, 19, prowled the streets high on skunk searching for vulnerable women to act out sick fantasies he had learnt from Grand Theft Auto."
To begin with he was high on DRUGS. You know those things that completely alter your judgement, lower your inhibitions and skew your perception. Yet this piece of sh*t 19 year old deviant blames a video...
Last bubble, damn. Anyway... I stopped reading the review after the bolded text. It is more than blatantly obvious to even the most fervent of 360 fan that this review is biased. So I decided to read the first paragraph and laughed. The quote that put me over the edge was this one...
"Plot is just as incoherent as in the first "Resistance," introducing spaceships hovering around the countryside, various giant monsters and the requisite mad scientist claptrap.&...
It's a shame that this article did not get approved. It shows the reason behind the bias that Variety has recently shown in its' reviews. To think that people would be naive enough to believe Variety is NOT bias in its' reviews after this shows a lack of free thought and blind fanaticism.
Would ya mind bringing me up to speed on the Variety.com scam thing? Missed the memo on that one.
EDIT: Pennywise thanks for the link. After reading the article all I can say is why bother with Variety. Again people can deny all they want but when MS money is involved they make sure MS gets a positive spin and the competition not so much. Variety reviews for both PS3 and XBox 360 titles should be discarded after this has been brought to light.
LOL! Excellent post.
2 hours a day and it died in 2 years. My PS One, DAY ONE UNIT, is still running strong. My PS2s of which I have 2 launch and one purchased about 7 months later are still the original units. They are workhorses and have more hours logged on them than I can even count. My PS3s one 60 gig and one 40 get played an avg. of 4-5 hours a day EACH, myself and children, and remain powered on all the time connected to a 1200 VA UPS.
These units are rock solid stable and have never hiccu...
One question. Knowing that you are on your THIRD Xbox 360 what compels you to keep it or owning one? Simply put if you were to buy a new car and you were on your THIRD replacement would you want to keep that car or switch to a more reliable make? This just defies logic, well at least for me it does, how folks can get burned over and over yet still remain happy/loyal to a product/company that has screwed them over.
The willingness to fix the problem would generally be enough to dismiss the case. The fact that MS may have known about the defects prior to release and released a faulty unit anyway is quite the other. A willingness to fix a known bad product vs. a willingness to fix an unforseen problem are two totally different things. We will just have to wait and see how things go.
I post and report at the same time. Sometimes the story submitter never checks and things like this get through without a second look.
The way the lawsuit is structured it may very well become a class action suit. Especially based on the consumer laws estblished in the state of California. I doubt Microsoft will have to hand over profits, because in reality there are none. So IF this does come to fruition MS will more than likely be required to refund some percentage of the original purchase price or a fixed nominal fee to each consumer who bought one.
The only thing is that even if it a small fixed fee, say ...
Seems like this may be a strategy. Make 360 users go blind by squinting and trying to read text. This way when the next flops come out they won't be able to read the review scores.
It should be noted that there are spoilers in the article. As well as a spoiler video. Not that I care but some might.
a bizarre list. PixelJunk Monsters while fun is in no way a better PSN title or IMO a better game than WipeoutHD. That and GTA IV should be removed and replaced with R2.
WTF?! OK it's ultra-violent, leave it alone and rate the game accordingly. Toning it down is just plain wrong.
7. The Last Remnant (PS3, Square Enix )
The 360 version is not even listed even though it will be releasing there prior to the PS3 version. Either the Japanese don't know or simply don't care. In any case it is nice to see the PS3 now has games that has the Japanese gamers excited. I am sure with the release of FF XIII, Versus XIII and WKC that hardware sales will also see a nice big boost. All of these being exclusive to the PS3 in Japan pretty much guarnatees it.
Spin it! LBP sales shown are ONE day so we are going to have to wait to see next weeks numbers for a better estimate. Hardware wise the PS3 outsold the 360 6:1 in Japan as well. Again need to wait for next weeks numbers to see if this trend continues. Nice try at trolling but you fail. Maybe next time you should have waited to have your bowl of failios before posting.
As it stands now even IF PS3 titles could be copied those that required dual layer discs would not be worth it. The cheapest you can get them for at the moment is $36 EACH @ qty. 100. Now if you coaster one you just spent approx. 66% the cost of the game NEW. It just isn't worth it for the forseeable future. Also note that a Blu-Ray burner costs approx. $200 - $250.
They are seeing the PS3 outpace the 360 next year by approx. 2 mil consoles and that is at current pricing. Now think what the gap is going to be like when the price drop hits next year. Also keep in mind MS said no more price drops for a long time. Sucks to be MS.
Let's see how next weeks numbers fare. If next week the PS3 is up in the 20k+ range then I can say without doubt, XBox 360 is done in Japan from this point on. Especially with the big JRPGs coming out for it.
