Probably Metal Gear Solid on the PS1. I was almost always a generation behind due to my family's finances, so for the most part I just played NES and SNES games here and there. I loved it, but didn't think much until I played MGS at a friend's house and saw the storytelling potential.
That's what made it so freaking scary...it wasn't!
Oh man! Nearly forgot about the first Uncharted. Scared the shit out of me.
I had to play that damn Banshee mission a few times (kept dying) and the screams never got less creepy.
Man, an XCOM style Star Wars game would be the ultimate dream for me. Any kind of strategy/sim for Star Wars would be great.
I don't know how I'm going to get through any of them before the year's over...So MUCH coming out.
Ni No Kuni 1's opening still gets me choked up...damn ridiculous!
For the first time in a LONG time, I'm excited about Assassin's Creed again. Haven't cared for any of the games in the series (haven't played Origins yet), but I'm really digging everything they've shown from Odyssey.
I will fully admit that I haven't been all that interested in Xbox stuff over the last several years, but their conference was easily the best of the show this year.
Splinter Cell would be great. Even better would be some remastered versions of the first three Splinter Cell games.
So many great things about this game. My only complaint is it's not on the Switch so I could be playing it right now...
I really wanted to love this game, and it does some awesome things, but the frustration with certain elements is difficult to get past :(
I'm hoping we get some Jurassic World gameplay pretty soon. I mean, it's supposed to come out in just a few months with the movie (I'm assuming anyway).
Argh....I know you're right, but still a bummer.
I REALLY hope Last of Us 2 comes out this year. Could be wrong, but I'm crossing my fingers for it sometime in the Fall/holidays.
Skull & Bones was the most interesting one for me. It was a total surprise during the Ubisoft presentation and looked amazing.
I want the Prince of Persia trilogy if only to drum up interest to get a NEW Prince of Persia game at some point.
I have their regular Arctis 3 and it's pretty amazing. It's the headset I use on the regular for gaming. This will be ideal for my Switch, although I still wish Nintendo would fix the bigger problem with their voice chat.
Argh, can't wait to play this one. Waiting for the Switch version though.
The Last of Us Part II is probably top of my list. If I played no other game this year, I'd go with that one. I'm also eager for Jedi: Fallen Order, but mostly because I'm ready for a new Star Wars game that isn't Battlefront related.
