So some people who worked in Valve wanted to develop games for the PS3.

No offence, but what makes you think your dad knows anymore than what the officials, FBI are reporting? And how would Amazon's cloud service crash be responsible for the PSN going down when Sony themselves as well as Homeland Security, FBI, etc said that it was due to a hack?

And didn't a dev from the Beyond3D actually go through the process of showing that it was up to date yesterday with proof in a couple of articles? That same professor just recently even said that he was misquoted at the congressional hearing (He clarified that what he said was only rumored). Some of the sites that reported that it wasn't up to date, corrected their articles, but at this point, I think the damage has already be done.

I just caught on to what Pirate was saying below and didn't want you spinning the facts around or going back and editing your article like you already have so far.
It looks like the people in the article went back on their original "all of the servers were out of date" to "maybe some servers were out of date". I'll wait for an official statement from Sony.
Edit: Just noticed something, every server that is supposedly out of date according to the guy in the article has a current up to date version as well... that's very odd. Now, someone make sense of that.
^ Edit: I get what they're saying, all the services (Full reboot) (PS Store, LOVEFILM, etc). The online gaming part of the PSN should be up next week. Stop trolling.
^ They're talking about all the services fully working again, not the PSN. The PSN should be back up by Monday (speculation) but according to the article there was no comment on the PSN. This was stated awhile back that all the services wouldn't just jump back on at once.

Idk, I don't have the money for a new console system or for the 60 dollars a year just to play online (barely have enough to buy games on the PS3 now) and with the way Microsoft is taking gaming now (motion control gaming system, pushing Kinect more than it's hardcore games) I probably couldn't get into it as much since I already experienced the Wii.
From a sweepstake from 2001? How old that site must've been (nvm, just read that it was discontinued). Also just thought, how is this stolen PSN data, if it was from a discontinued website holding a sweepstake back in 2001?
