CVV not stored

"Apparently, it was an error which he made since he has clarified that they did. However, he assured people that the company, although asked for the CCV codes, did not store them in their database."...

Free 30 day PS+ deal = Infamous 2 beta for me. Also how does Qriocity work? Can I get free to DL songs off it?

Does Qriocity come with PS+? Also can you get free to DL songs off it?

Marked as trolling. Sony stated days ago that the CC was encrypted and that the CVV wasn't store on the PSN.

"Mr. Hirai confirmed that customer’s security codes for their credit cards were not compromised, and only a maximum of 10 million people use their credit cards on the PSN."

Sweet, expected more people to have their cc info the PSN though (like maybe atleast 20-30 million, outta 55 million people/77 million accounts). Can't wait to get on the Infamous 2 beta with the free 30 day PS+ deal.

S***, it's been that way since launched.

Just talking about how hackers have been trying crack into the PS3/PSN since it came out.

Marked as trolling, only 10 million people have their cc info on the PSN (outta 50 million people, 77 million accounts). It's even stated on the first post here.

True, I thought there were more people with cc info on the PSN than 10 million though (like maybe atleast 20-30 million outta 50 million). News sites were making out like 77 million accounts had cc on them lol, but yeah, glad to hear about the free downloads/content and free 30 days PS+ deal.

Oh ok. Btw, do you know of any streams for the conference?

Damn, outta 50 million (77 million PSN accounts), only 10 million people had cc info on the psn? Thought more people had their cc on the PSN, like atleast 20-30 million.

We'll see when time passes on. I don't think i'll be buying an X360 though, I don't have the money to buy another system and invest in it's game library. I barely have enough to buy games on one system as it is (PS3).

5537d ago 5 agree4 disagreeView comment

Ofcourse, how else would you buy stuff if they didn't ask. Glad it isn't stored though.

The guys up top might just be trying to start stuff again. A few were saying that hackers couldn't hack Xbox Live in other articles relating to the PSN situation.

5537d ago 3 agree1 disagreeView comment

True. I mean, Sony just recently stated that no one tried to sell them cc details back as well as the fact that the cvv wasn't stored on the PSN and that the CC was encrypted. 1up trying to get those hits, can't believe that they mixed the FBI part in to make it seem legit though.

Lol, looks like they just editted their article and added my source.

Didn't Sony just recently state that no one contacted or tried to sale CC info to them? It's even on N4G. As well as the fact that the CVV wasn't store on the PSN and that cc data was encrypted? I call bs.

@ xTruth

QFT. Sony just said recently that the cvv wasn't stored on the PSN and that the credit card data WAS encrypted. Plus why would the hacker go to Sony and try to sell the info back knowing he'd get caught and jailed? I call bs.

Didn't Sony say that it didn't keep CV codes on PSN? They're saying that the cc wasn't encrypted as well when Sony just recently said it was. So I call it to be either fake or acquired elsewhere.
