I just assumed from his original "LOL' post before it got edited.
Too Pawned, don't get too cocky. Microsoft had to pay 1 billion for the RROD situation. I don't know how much they still are paying even after with the 3 year warranty deal.

Double posts, my bad. But yeah, I thought it would be atleast a couple of billions. Guess I was wrong.
Edit: Wait, did he just edit the article? Some things look changed.
Wasn't it stated in other articles that Sony insurers would help foot the bills?
Who know, they're also offering that ID Theft Protection as well as reimbursing money to anyone who might've had CC stolen from the SOE situation.
Sweet, so we get 4 games total now (2 from the PS3 list, 2 from the PSP list) as well as the free 30 day PS+ deal (Infamous 2 beta).
"We will be offering PSN users the opportunity to select two PS3 games from our list of five, as well as offering PSP users the opportunity to choose two games from a list of four"

Isn't it still Friday in the US?
^True, also as noted in the other articles, the actual quote from Stappford is "I have no information about what protections they had in place, although some news reports indicate that Sony was running software that was badly out of date, and had been warned about that risk." and that he cites no sources.
Oh, my bad. Glad to hear that actually.
Damn, guess Sony will one up Microsoft for the 1 billion it had to pay for the RROD situation (3 year warranty) if true.
I thought it was SOE, not PSN. Unless you're thinking SOE is apart of the PSN or trolling?
What's with this site and it's rumors? Last week they said that the PSN outage was an inside job by Sony.
It's articles like these that makes me wonder how ps3 users get labeled as the worst fanboy (and this is coming from an Xbox360 owner). The amount of anti PS flamebait material that gets approved and written by those same Xbox360 enthusiasts is insane. From 2007, to now.
Edit: Lol at LOGIC below. Yeah by you and units.
This article reminds me of this scene
"MR. BLUE: Our girl was nice."
"MR. PINK: She was okay. She refilled my cup with coffee five times, checked back with me to see if I wanted anything else and the service was fast/good, but other than that, she didn’t do anything special."
"MR. BLUE:...What’s something special, take ya in the back and suck your d***?"
Sony could've literally gave out free...
Wait a minute, how did it go from 12,700 cc stolen from SOE from non US countries to 25 million all over?

Edit: @ PPTouch
That's what i'm saying, look at Dark360 lol. He was the main guy saying it was a second attack and to buy an Xbox360 in the other article.
...
"Sony says this is directly tied to the PSN attack even though the two are completely separate. SOE and PSN are on different servers and are run by different groups."
So this attack was the April attack. SOE was attacked aswell as the PSN in April. Double whammy.
Edit: Even though Kotaku updated and fixed their original article just recent, before it they kinda made it out like it was a second attack.
How can it be another attack when the servers aren't even up (Including Japan despite what was reported by a site earlier)? This is the attack from last month.
Can't wait to play the Infamous 2 beta when I get my free 30 day PS+ deal.
Tbh, I rather them take their time with the rebuilding of the security than rush things out and get hacked again.
