@ Biggest
Lol, I know right (Trying to make out like this is just on the PSN). I mean I'm pretty sure the folks who buy used on the Xbox 360 are gonna see that they have to pay so what's the point? Hell, past EA titles have had passes on both consoles as well.
@ raWfodog
Idk if you know, but you'll have to play for the online pass from the Xbox marketplace as well if you buy used. I think some previous EA titles have had the online pass for both consoles for awhile too.
Edit: Also true what Biggest said, you don't have to continue paying for a new pass for multiple sub accounts as well. It's system based, so if you use your friend's PS3 or Xbox360, you will have to pay for another.
"The vast majority of games published by EA within the past year, however, have shipped with an online pass system which blocks second hand users from accessing the game's online multiplayer unless they purchase a pass from Xbox Live Marketplace or PlayStation Store at an additional cost."
WTF! Xbox Live is gonna have this online pass stuff too now? Damn, I thought they just did that for Madden lol (Didn't know of the other previous EA titles that had a onli...
So it's a 3.2 difference between the PS3 and Xbox 360 now. Thought some folks here said it was 5 million?
Edit: Also for future disagrees and for "Why oh Why"
Xbox 360 sold 1.7 million

PS3 1.8 million

Lol, you think stuff is too expensive in the US now, if the US defaults on their debt, games are REALLY gonna get priced higher from the squeeze.
@ Evil
Lol, I'm mad? So far to told me to stfu. gtfho, called me a troll, etc. Seems like you're mad cause I'm keeping it real. ;) Also, my above comment was my counter argument. How can you even say what/how the ps3 community as a whole would love to see, what they would've done and scream hypocrisy when you as well as evrfighter did most of the things you stated ps3 gamers would do? Irony...No wonder 37 people have you ignored.
And to reply...
@ Evil and evrfighters
Lol, hypocrisy? You mean like what you're doing now complaining about what the ps3 community "would've" done when you were LITERALLY the same two cheering and applauding Anon, Lulzsec and the PSN hackers when they DID break in? XD
Sony should giveaway free Ps3s with the purchase of UC3.
Edit: @ jack who Because there weren't any free Ps3 giveaway with the purchase of blu ray movies (If they did that I'd have 4 ps3s right now), laptops, etc. They bundled them with TVs, laptops, etc for a discounted price but not for free.
I guess you guys weren't around when Sony announced that GT5 sold 5.5 million in 12 days and the theory stories that dropped then. Or when the PS3 outsold the 360 by 2.3 million in the year 2010 even with the huge Kinect boost in Nov and Dec (Come on, everyone was like wtf).
Why is he getting disagrees, they really were giving away free Xbox360s. The thing is I didn't think you could count those giveaways in the NPD with the consoles that were sold. Sony should start giving away consoles as well then.

Edit: I bet i'll get disagrees even with a source.
I thought the PS3 outsold the Xbox360 worldwide in 2010 by 2.3 million?

@ units But isn't this the same site that you used to post the Xbox360 and Wii hardware figures?
Edit: My bad, didn't know the counted free giveways. I thought they only counted consoles sold.
@ baker
"If somebody is buying used games they werent going to pay full price for the game anyway."
"And besides the fact that more people buy games brand new over buying them used anyway just blows the "used games are hurting me" argument out of the water."
Idk about that...
"GameStop has released a three-month trading report, which shows a record sales for the quarter totaling $1.9 billion...
@ consolez True, I was really thinking of becoming a game developer after I graduated from HS but after seeing how hard it is for them to make a good profit (preowned games/ privacy), the long 12 hours work days you'll have to put in and the not so secure positions within a gaming company after you finish making the game (heard it more like a contract than a job), I think I'll pass.
Looks complicated. Don't wanna risk breaking my ps3 by taking it apart and adding chips over other chips to pirate a few games. Wonder how the guy knows what will be inside and taken out of the new PS3s being developed but interesting nonetheless.
Edit: Nvm, just saw that they're gonna try to sell it like those dongles before it went out. Might pass to sell overseas but they might get sued if they sell in the US.
@ caseh Why doesn't Nintendo's Wii, Sony PSN, as well as some PC online titles charge you $60 to play online like Live? Shouldn't that have been announced across the board for all console manufacturers, hmmmm?
Maybe to leech money?
So you would rather pay $90-$120 bucks (Live $60 + Game (Used/New) $30-$60 ) than pay $60 for a new game + pass with free online to play whenever you wanted (The pass come free if you purchase it new and it's only required once)? Great idea!
Edit: Idk about you but if it came to choosing to pay an additional $60 fee just to play online, I'd rather just buy the game new then.
But when Microsoft charges you $60 to play online all is well right? When are you and Logic (above, love his hypocrisy btw) gonna realize that you're getting nickel and dimed?
Sony evil, Microsoft good. XD
True, like the author said, Sony should give more details on the PSN Pass system. We're just now finding out that we can also use it on multiple sub accounts.
Hope so, I could use a PS3 in the living room. My 60gb might not be around for too long as well.
