I agree that it's impossible to have a single game of the year, unless they're basing it completely on sales or completely on metacritic, which would be crap anyways. I will admit that I like to check out the genre-specific wins just to see if my favorite game won, and what games i missed out on that i should go check out, etc.
Not quite. Just Cause 2 is pretty cool, haven't played it through yet, but I did check out the demo. Seemed pretty fun. Heavy Rain is completely different, but also awesome. There's no way for an apple to be blatantly better than an orange. Sometimes I'm in the mood for an apple, and other days I'll be in the mood for an orange. As long as they are both ripe, not moldy or bruised, etc, then they're about equal in my book.

I agree with you completely. I think Treyarch really did do an amazing job with World at War, and had so many features that gamers, or at least me + my friends, truly do want in their games. Co-op campaign, super fun stuff like Nazi Zombies, and unbroken multiplayer. Seriously, I've put so much time into Nazi Zombies it's kind of gross.. Plus, the peeps at Treyarch don't hate PC gamers.
With your number 3 though, I think MW3 will have to do a lot more than just restore people's...
World at War is great.
You played MW2 and World at War and didn't see a difference? .. not one? There's a bunch.
World at War - Set in WWII, has a 10-ish hour campaign that can be played co-op, has Nazi Zombies, they had a beta so the multiplayer wasn't a huge mess.
MW2- Modern Day US vs. the Russians, 5 hour campaign - no coop option even though you have army dudes next to you everywhere, spec ops - which was okay, no beta so the multiplayer was / is still broken, and IW showed their hat...
World at War is by far better than either of the Modern Warfares. They had features that IW neglects. Co-op campaign - which beats the pants off of spec ops, & Nazi Zombies is my favorite mode .. ever. Plus, look at all the support Treyarch shipped out. The map packs that include multiplayer maps AND Nazi Zombie maps. Plus, the Nazi Zombie maps are amaaaaazing and they all add super awesome features..
Oh, and their multiplayer isn't all broken.. unlike MW2's.

Some games are worth it to me to get at midnight. As in, L4D2. Got that at midnight, had all the campaigns beat by 8am that morning with my pals.
But, now since I work at Gamestop, I have to be there for some of the most pointless midnight releases, where just 1 to 15 people show up. The last realllly good one was MW2 where everyone was there, and that was pretty fun.
They passed on Natal, which is actually kind of innovative, and decided to go with an exact copy of the WiiMote with a Wii Motion Plus attached... Oh, and a light. Soo much better.
Plus, if the 360 can improve on the 3DTV technology with it's processing power to make it a viable gaming device.. Then just imagine what the PS3 could have done, because my love of the 360 aside, the PS3 is much more powerful. I think they really might have missed out..

X-play used to be amazing. Funnyfunny and actually unique. Now they made Morgan all hot and Adam presentable. No. I want grungy Morgan and weirdo Adam. Now, they're indistinguishable from other teen news shows except for it's about video games instead of music videos or whatever people talk about.

I only like X-play. Basically because I love Adam and Morgan, I miss their older show though.. It was waaaay better.. They should really consider getting rid of AotS and giving X-play their time, too.
Regarding AotS - Olivia is hott, sure. Kevin is okay. But together, they're a big pile of annoying people who try too hard to be weird.. X-play is better.
When the quality assurance guy tells McDonalds that their coffee, while being hot and delicious, also can cause 3rd degree burns, someone should have thought to let people know. Especially when they had at least 700 other cases of serious burns from their coffee. That's endangering your customers, my friend, and justice was served. And, honestly, people would rather have the original box. Plus, if he had followed the return policy clearly stated all over Gamestop and on his receipt, then he would have been able to return it for a full refund. So, Gamestop has guards against people not liking their used games, and he didn't use it within the time given. He should have been more responsible, and that's his own fault.

That's his own damn fault. Plus, the 7 day return policy is posted right by the register and right on the back of the receipt. He COULD have gotten all his money back, if he had just followed their policies. So it's really not Gamestop's fault.
Plus, research how the DLC works. If it's EA BF:BC2 then you won't be getting free DLC if you buy it used, they have their VIP card in the new games only.
Why would women like FFXIII more than Halo 3: ODST? I'm a lady, and I loved ODST, the campaign was super fun. It was short, but I loved it regardless. I don't like JRPGs. Never have. I could never just .. get into them. The guys are all prettier than I am, and I dunno, I never really got far into the stories before moving on.. Just not my style, I spose. So yeah, that's sexist, and shame on you.
