1. One could argue that the violence is so over the top that no way can you consider it realistic enough to influence anything.
2. How do we know that kids/teens aren't picking up smoking because their favorite character/actor smoke? Do we have a statistic on that? Smoking USED to be looked at as cool, and you're now seeing it with vaping more and more. It is still a relevant issue despite the general populace looks down at it... at least he...
Some Sony fans are defending actual censorship, but now are talking crap about smoking in a game that never even had smoking in it in the first place...
Yeah it's mind boggling why this has even become an issue. People love fake outrage.
You can't remove something that was never in the damn game. Why is this so hard for people to grasp? lol
The thing is, they weren't even the ones talking about it. It was the organization praising them. There wasn't any smoking in Gears 4, it's not like they were trying to get points. This is just something that Rod personally agrees with, and now that they are an esport, one of the sponsors is an anti smoking org and gave them some praise for not having smoking in their games.
It's really not even a big deal because no one would have even known there was no sm...
Exactly. No one said anything about it in Gears 4, it's just unfortunate that an organization is praising them for this, now people think they censored the game. You cant remove or censor something that was never in the game.
Creative vision and design does not equal censorship...
Okay so
1. BIG difference between picking up a pack of cigarettes and creating a fictional AR and attaching a chainsaw to it to then murder someone.
2. Are you really denying the power of advertising? Especially advertising to kids? Using someone's favorite actor, singer, video game character etc. Absolutely has an effect on perception. Just because you aren't effected by it doesnt mean millions of others aren't.
3. It bei...
How is it rediculious? If a creative director doesnt want smoking then no one forced him to do so.
When things get out of hand is when outside organizations or groups force devs to make changes because of stupid ideals and backlash. Rod Fergussons father died when he was 4 from lung cancer, im sure that sticks with you.
Did anyone play Gears 4 and ask why isn't anyone smoking? No, they didnt, you want to know why? Because it's not a big deal and n...
Yep I had to replace two joysticks on my joycons
Surprise mechanics
@Leeroy
The game preference is a valid opinion that not many would argue, but what do you mean heading to more PC territory? If you want old school console then buy their console. Nothing about their options alienates one group of gamers, if anything it is uniting many. Your friends that prefer PC or those streaming on the go can still hop in and play with you while you're on your console. If you don't want pc or streaming, don't use those options.
I love me some VR and PSVR. Cant wait to see the next gen headset
I like how you say this so matter of factly like you're his close buddy and know when he is happy and sad lol
Do we need an article for every picture he posts on Twitter?
3 was not dark at all really. That's when they started adding much more color a light to it.
Also seems like they confirmed the Hammer of Dawn is back.
It's been confirmed all servers are dedicated and 60hz
Looks amazing. So the trailer confirmed there will be environmental dangers in the maps. Marcus freezing in that puddle and such. I wonder what else they have planned.
As a gamer I can say that RDR2 was a fantastic experience, as an objective person, I can also find faults with its pacing and general movement. I'd say it's near a 10, but not quite there. It's hard to be fully objective and still give a game a 10. Giving a game a 10 means that regardless of the issues you still would never skip the game (because no game is perfect), but those issues may impact other people's enjoyment. There will always be a bit of personal preference in revi...
Cool? Why not give a better game?
